waited 30 minute for my order then got the wrong one

I had gone into my favorite bagel shop and was greeted by a wonderful woman Brenda Ferreri great customer service and friendly I will be back thanks to her.

Chewy bagels. Pretty good. However, during the last year or so, the slicing machine must be broken. Bagels seem to be sliced 'diagonally" so one edge is much thicker than the other. When I toast them at home one side is burned and the other side is untoasted. I'm disappointed.
Oct. 8th update... bagel slicing has improved since I wrote my review. Just a reminder to management that improperly sliced bagels is a misdemeanor in New York (I could be wrong on this).

We came in to have a bagel and sit before heading into work. There was a worker that was putting up the chairs and started to vacuum while we were sitting. We kindly greeted her and started to ask if she would wait until we left but she stopped us before we could say anything because she didn’t understand English. We are bilingual so we started to ask her in Spanish and she responded with I only take orders from my manager. The manager came out after 10 minutes and just took away the vacuum but never acknowledged us or approached us. We started to talk to him from our seat and he just mumbled she’s not supposed be vacuuming and walked away. Unfortunately I will be writing and extensive email to corporate. Unfortunately it is not the first bad experience here at this store.

This is one of the more downtrodden Einsteins. It is not clean or well-maintained and the bathroom is neglected. I had to try three coffees and shows a variety that I don't really like it was the only one that was even close to being warm. The only cream cheese options they have is whipped cream cheese which I can't stand. Cream cheese should be dense. The bagel was acceptable but for what you pay, they can spend some money keeping it clean, keeping the coffee hot and giving you better topping choices.

I went to Panera which was closer to my daughter. But they ran out of ALL their bagels by 1:00. So I checked maps and saw Einstein Bagels was just a couple miles away. I waited patiently in line, saw they were closing in an hour. Asked for 2 bagels as is, bagged. I was ready w/ a 5-dollar bill when I approached the register, and then I was handed the bag no charge. I asked if they were sure, and I replied w/ much thanks. I’ll be back because of this respectful service.

Wow, owner should be embarrassed of this place... this place is filthy, not one clean table (with no customers), cabinets falling apart, beverage area filthy and an employee trying to fix a broken machine... person taking orders was also fulfilling the orders while the others stood around...

Service is quick here, it seems like they're always well staffed for the morning rush! I recommend the bacon and egg on plain, it's the perfect breakfast for a busy day ?
