Asked if they had a Pinotage, and the owners immediately seemed judgmental about the wine selection. It made for an uncomfortable interaction and wasn’t the welcoming experience we expected. For wine connoisseurs who have never been to Africa, I’d hope they would be more open minded. Perhaps they’ve simply never had a good Pinotage. Please try the Fat Man and reconsider your opinions.
What an amazing find. A friend and I stopped in and were so surprised at the food selection and wine too. They were having a winery tasting and ended up buying a bottle at 10% off. The food is fresh! We split a beet salad and elote dip. Both were AMAZING!! Music is great, people are friendly. Highly recommend
Far Away Wine & Provisions is a hidden gem, intimate, relaxed, and perfect for a chill night out or a quiet date. The wine selection is excellent and ever-changing, with plenty of options by the glass or bottle, and the small-plate menu complements it perfectly. The vibe is friendly and unpretentious, the owners are welcoming and passionate about wine, and the atmosphere feels more like a cozy living room than a bar.
