Been going to Guanaquitos for years, never disappointed. The papusas are a must as well as the plato tipico. If you want a great breakfast order the platanos fritos con frijoles.
Guanaquito is a gem. I've been coming here for years, and the food is always incredibly delicious. The pupusas are the best I've ever had. Truly one of my top favorite spots in Phoenix.
I was staying at Banner University (right down the street) and had someone bring me some sopa de res from this place. IT TASTED LIKE HOME 😭. It had yuca, calabasin, chayote, carrot, and two big pieces of bone with beef on them. The beef was so flavorful and tender. But the broth! For me, soup is all about the bone broth when you’re sick. It was delicious and I could see the little droplets of collagen on the top… I’m in love. It hasn’t been easy for me to find a nutrient...
