Let me start by saying I am excited to see a black owned Chicago restaurant here in AZ since I am a Chicago native. The mild sauce was on point. Now I must be honest the chicken was not good at all. I will say they have kept the harolds way of delivering nothing but fresh food but the chicken just wasn't good at all. I got a 2 pc dark dinner. The fries were good. The batter and seasoning seemed completely different. The hot sauce wasn't the same either. Everyone has their own way of doing things and that ok. I can honestly say not ALL Harolds in Chicago are the "same/good" either.

Not sure what the hype was about this spot, it was ok didn't care for there "mild sauce" that is sweet, was looking for some spice. That may be a Chicago thing and i was just unfamiliar IDK. I ordered gizzard and wing combo and did not get my wing either.

I'm from Gary Indiana and I didn't know this restaurant was here in Arizona. I got a three piece perch dinner. Ate there, it was good but it was fried a little too hard for me. I understand a lot of people like their fish fried hard, but I feel they need to be told first before they just automatically fry people's fish hard. But before I left I decided to get a two-piece with the breast and the wing and I tell you it tastes just like the Harold's Chicken back at home. I never had the one in Chicago which I heard that they were the best. But the one in Gary Indiana was good. I tried the one in Indianapolis Indiana and I wasn't too impressed with them. I will come back again whenever I feel like driving way over there. I live in Scottsdale but trust me whenever I'm around there I will be going there again.

Checked this spot out for the first time on a Saturday. With only two people working, one on the register and one in the kitchen I already knew it was gonna be a little wait. But 45min later after being told 15min with only 2 people in front of me was a bit ridiculous. Not to include my food was already prepared but just sitting in the back until the cashier finally assisted the cook after taking ALL orders in line first and then called my number. Chicken was ICE COLD to the touch. Taking more orders than you can handle proves itself.

We went here after a long day of moving the lady that served us was rude and left off a whole dinner ... we paid 78.00 ... she was so in a rush to hurry up and close that once we got home to eat there was a whole meal missing. And she forgot the canned sodas . Word to the wise .... if you want customers to return get you some better servers /cashiers. Her customer service skills sucked.

I ordered a large perch dinner and the fish was fried like a hard piece of rock. No I didn’t want the fish fried hard or anything like that, but that’s what I received. I know the owners personally and wow this definitely is a huge disappointment being from Chicago and all. I don’t know who’s cooking back there, but they need a crash course on how to cook perch. SMH!! I don’t want to stop supporting my fellow classmate / black owners, but I don’t want to waste my money on my food either.
