Go to Sake Haus. It is close by. It has better food. It has better cocktails.

I am not going to say I did this place right. I didn't. It's clearly a good place to take a first meeting a wealthy internet date.

And nothing I had was bad. The udon was delightful, because it was udon, and if you put udon noodles in a broth they are tasty. The cocktails were unique. I like unique.

Harumi Sushi was a small sushi restaurant, expanded and then a
takeout gem during COVID and has evolved into one of the best sushi dining experiences in Phoenix.

Post-COVID, they opened a beautiful new restaurant across the street and elevated everything — excellent sushi, fine dining, atmosphere, and overall experience. The staff is friendly, the cocktail recommendations were spot on, and the table-side sushi-on-fire presentation was next level.

A true gem of downtown PHX. The food is wonderful, prices are cheap for speciality rolls and every staff member contributes no matter where you are sitting. A must for any date night.
