Stopped by with my family who was visiting from out of town. Food was great ,over priced . We came in on a Saturday afternoon about two weeks ago. The cashier at the front, who I believe said her name was Stacy, had a noticeably negative attitude and came across as unprofessional

We google Jamaican food my husband and I and Island Grill came up, and off we went. The atmosphere indoor and outside was clean. There was a gentleman who greeted us and allowed us to sit outdoors, he was friendly. The hostess Lala was amazing and service was impeccable. She greeted us with a smile and conversation. She made us feel warm, welcome and wanted. Once we reached home we try the food. Presentation inside foam container was neat, our food was not thrown all over the place. Last, but not least, the brown stew and curry chicken was so delicious, we will eat there again. Blessings Island Grill, your service rocks! From Peoria, AZ!

Was annoyed that it took almost 15 minutes to place an order and another 45 minutes to receive it but, IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!!
The oxtails with peas and rice and cabbage was AMAZINGLY GOOD! The food smelled delicious and tasted even better. The peas and rice was a bit spicy but not too much. Oxtails had the excess fat cut off. The gravy everything just hands down the best oxtail I've had in the area.
I recommend ordering ahead if you're ordering food to go.

Fantastic authentic flavor. The jerk shrimp and chicken were very delicious with just enough bite. The brown stew chicken was so tender and juicy. Sauce was perfect. Cabbage was nice and light. Great service and very clean restaurant. I highly recommend you try this place.

Short staffed when we got there but another server showed up as we were leaving. Food was good. Mostly what we expected with a small place like this. Very authentic and very flavorful. If you like this type of food it is worth stopping.
