Anytime me and the crew are up from Tucson, we ALWAYS try to hit a Gurks run! The Super Sicilian and the Pastrami have got to be my favorites! If you live near there or just in town for the day, DEFINITELY hit up J.P. Mc Gurkees!! Truly the bees knees if the bees were tasty sandwiches!!
Super cute place with a retro/vintage vibe. Recommend to me by my buddy Dave to stop and try on my trip from Florida. I got the J P turkey sandwich and it was delicious. The bread was so good and soft. It smelt delicious in there and I’d like to go back and try one of their pizzas. Staff was super friendly
Two words… Italian American. When I think of Italian sandwich shops this place is it. Even the inside brings me back to Chicago or New York hole in the walls. I will try and get picture next time. The sandwiches are not gimmicky. They focus on the perfect balance of ingredients that show true craftsmanship.
