I’ve eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants, I don’t know if I have ever eaten a chimichanga with celery in it… off putting and tastes as if I am eating pot roast, all that’s missing is the mashed potatoes & gravy, it definitely does not belong in a chimichanga… Also, it is extremely salty, did y’all add a pound of salt?! Very disappointed we wasted money here.

Great local Mexican food. Great staff and the food is delicious!!! They also have a "fast" food side. We pick up all the time.

I ordered the spinach enchilada and it was dynamite. Good waiter, too. A cool place to chill out.

Short on wait staff when we first arrived. Booth seats not in the best shape. Food was very tasty and good prices.

The food is good solid, typical Mexican fare. I had the pork green chili rellenos. There was a lot of sauce but very little pork. Decent flavor, but the batter tasted like it was time to change the oil in the fryer. The chicken enchiladas my wife had were also good. The best part was the service. Friendly, fast and knowledgeable. She was very pleasant, engaging and attentive. This was my first time here and I will return.

A Mexican place is only as good as their salsa and this place offered slightly spicy ketchup with the consistency of water. At least the chips were normaltl;dr- Don't bother

This is a favourite place. Not all dishes are appealing to me, but the place has character and history. (I do miss Jalopeno's on 35th and northern.) Crispy Shredded tacos have incredible flavour. Very rarely is there a food consistency problem but it can happen. Salsa and Chips complementary. Pollo fondito is packed with cheese so I dont like it. if your a low dairy person you may have to ask light on cheeses where cheese is part of the dish. It can be a place you have to learn how it comes and ask for modification. The Servers always seem like family and have a very professional ethic in maintaining standards and practices. Some of my associates have said they dont like it, but i think being a bit conversational with the wait staff can get you tuned. Food is seasoned well, wet when its meant to be, Green/Red chilli sauces. Fajitas with any protein are usually very good.

Decent food. Great service every time we go there. A bit too much cheese for my taste. A margarita seems to make it all good!

Stopped in to Julio G's on a friends recommendation while heading up to Desert Ridge for some live music. We didn't realize that they closed at 8pm on a Friday when we sat down but we never felt rushed and still received great service. They start you off with chips and salsa but I would recommend asking for their 'hot' sauce either on its own or to mix with their salsa. We had a round of drinks including the skinny margaritas. The margaritas were very average but not bad by any means. My friend ordered the sampler as an entree and left with so much food leftover! I ordered the combo that comes with rice and refried beans and chose the chicken enchilada and tamale. The portions were huge and everything was flavorful. My husband ordered the Pollo Diablo and cleaned his plate. The interior is like an old school diner that serves Mexican food. They have a small bar area, room to cater to large parties and they also have a separate room that is connected for to-go orders. Julio G's seems like a no frills kinda place.. just a moderately priced Mexican joint cranking out decent food with good service.

I have only ordered take out. The food was ready as they said, it was hot, plentiful and good. Maybe not the best I've had , but at least a B+. I will go back.
