The food is good solid, typical Mexican fare. I had the pork green chili rellenos. There was a lot of sauce but very little pork. Decent flavor, but the batter tasted like it was time to change the oil in the fryer. The chicken enchiladas my wife had were also good. The best part was the service. Friendly, fast and knowledgeable. She was very pleasant, engaging and attentive. This was my first time here and I will return.
This is a favourite place. Not all dishes are appealing to me, but the place has character and history. (I do miss Jalopeno's on 35th and northern.) Crispy Shredded tacos have incredible flavour. Very rarely is there a food consistency problem but it can happen. Salsa and Chips complementary. Pollo fondito is packed with cheese so I dont like it. if your a low dairy person you may have to ask light on cheeses where cheese is part of the dish.
