We walked in at 7pm on a Saturday night and got the only 2 open seats! We had the cucumber salad and the Pollo Asado plate. It filled us both up with extra which we have to the first houseless person we ran into.
The dishes were awesome. Especially the peppers in sauce.“

“Met my son here for lunch yesterday to celebrate his birthday. He told me the restaurant was highly recommended to him by friends. The food and service did not disappoint. Starting with the chips and salsa - the salsa was so good we bought extra to take home. He had the Enchilada Suizas with beef and I had Green Corn Tamales. His plate was so full he ended up taking part of it home for dinner. I ate most of my amazing tamales, only leaving a bite or two I just couldn't finish. Sooooo good. Probably the best green corn tamales I've had in a long time. The servers were pleasant and attentive. Overall, I'd happily make the drive from Tucson again. Thanks!“

“I started eating lunches at Don Jose in 1966 while I was pregnant with my daughter. I ate there often because I worked nearby. As the years went by we ate there so many times the “original” staff knew us by name. When they closed down we were saddened, but were so happy when they sold the business (and recipes) and reopened. My daughter and family and almost every close friend I have continue to enjoy the great food, the family atmosphere, friendly staff and owners. I highly recommend Don Jose’. Best find of 1966 through today!!“

“Absolutely beautiful restaurant! Came in for a birthday dinner and Israel took great care of us as we ordered a few rounds of drinks. Highly recommend the taco plate! Each taco was full of flavor and the side of rice and beans was incredible. We will definitely be back!“

“Quality food and above average flavors. The salsa was spicy and delicious. The green chile was tender. The red sauce was okay, definitely preferred the green. The rice and beans were both seasoned well. The asada had a nice grill flavor and some char which was a pleasant surprise. The service was great and the atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming.“

“I’ve always been a fan of Qdoba since I lived in WI. I drive from Maricopa to come eat here and every time I make the drive it’s worth it! Excellent service with very friendly staff. Food has always been hot and fresh when I’ve ordered. I came here for my birthday today and they gave me my burrito bowl for free! Love this place“

“Its been a long time since I've been here! When I was staying in Phx childrens hospital with my son my dad would pick me up a green chili burro and take it to me because he knew I was tired of hospital food. I always looked forward to them. My son and my dad have since passed. I stopped by after visiting my sister yesterday at Good Sam's and its still the same great food! Red chili, green, bean burro and mexican pizza were all amazing! It all even made the drive all the way to Avondale and still tasted fresh:-)“
