“This gem only 6-7 mins from the entrance / exit from the airport was an unexpected pleasure. So flavorful, fresh and tasty. The triple combo app is a great intro to the cuisine. Oaxaca mushroom app is out of this world. The mushroom enchilada was melt in your mouth delicious. The steak on the charred lettuce was so tender…everything. Even the salsa was full of flavor. The only knock would be the restaurants facade and quirky atmosphere. Fun but needs upgrading especially the outdoor seating areas.“
“Costra taco was one of the best we had during our stay in PHX. The dark salsa that came with the chips was also fantastic. We ate in a group of 8 with a kid so we were worried we wouldn’t find room but we did and it was great. There were high chairs.“
“I did order the vampiros. It was so salty It was unedible. I love salt BTW but this was overkill. I tried the birria taco and it was a 7 out of 10 I give it. Now the carnitas burrito my boyfriend got was Execellent! It was huge, delicious and the reason we will return. They also make great beans that are self serve if you order like a dollar amount. I will absolutely go try some more.“
“We loved this place so much, we came back a second time during our weeklong vacation in AZ. The food is SO tasty, filling, and delicious. The service was friendly and exceptional. Do not skip on the horchata too!Dietary restrictions: Vegan, dairy free“
“Lingua Street Tacos stands out for their exceptional freshness and the mastery with which they prepare their meats. The tacos were a revelation of flavors, each bite bursting with succulent, juicy meat that was flawlessly cooked - never dry or overdone. The balance of ingredients and the care taken in crafting these tacos truly elevated the dining experience. It's evident that they prioritize quality in every aspect, from the freshness of their ingredients to the precision in cooking. It's a gem of a place for anyone seeking tacos that are not just good but truly exceptional!“
“Food was great and place was very clean. Green aguachiles are good. Also had the taco “Mayo” and that was great as well. The food was good and the place is clean. The green aguachiles are shut the fuck up and the taco mayo was pretty good too.“
“Great breakfast burritos, and excellent tacos! This is the closest I've found to a traditional SoCal taco joint. The staff is very nice and while the menu is not as fancy as some higher end places, the food is excellent. I particularly enjoyed the Chile Rellenos. Well done! The hole in the wall space feels appropriate for a great taco meal!! Clean and you can tell the owners have pride. Well done!“
“We really love going to California Fish Grill on Camelback! The food is always delicious, they have many healthy options, and the new Avocado Veggie Bowl is really good! Courtney always provides fast, friendly and helpful service!Vegetarian options: Avocado Veggie Bowl, Salads, Brussels Sprouts, Corn, Beans, Fries, and Sweet Potato Fries are all great!“
“I had the Chile Relleno plate with green and red sauce. It was fantastic and a huge portion size. I had the cucumber drink and it was extremely refreshing. Sara was a sweetheart and took great care of me while there. I will definitely be back to try the tacos ?“
“Food was hands down amazing. Service was rough. Got seated late with our reservation and took a long time to get waters. When we put our orders in mentioned we had to leave for a symphony and kindly asked to bring out the check early. He didn't bring it out or check in frequently so we could ask for it.Food was actually out fast once we got our order in. Everything about the food was great.“
“Really like the tacos that's all we ate the shrimp tacos were the best I've had. The only complaint I would have is no chips and salsa when you sit down also they should extend happy hour to 6:00 at least, It is 6 to 7 most places. In the valley most people are still on the road at 5:00.“
“Googled restaurants from our airport arrival… and found this. It caught my eye because of the name (Erma with an “I” ?). The food was delicious. I had the special: a ground beef & potato wrap. Hubby had the chicken burrito. The tortillas are fresh and tasty. Service by Irma was lovely! Thank you for a nice welcome to Phoenix!“
“The food was absolutely amazing! Everything was super hot and fresh. However, the waitress was slow to come back and check on my table. I got to meet the chef and he explained how everything is prepared fresh daily. Looking forward to my next visit.“
“Awesome restaurant for authentic Mexican cuisine. There are a few tables inside, and on the front patio and also back patio. The front patio has a fairly busy street running in front of it, which may put off some. We sat there and had no issues. The back patio will be a bit more quiet if you're looking for that experience. The burritos were unbelievable and large, I can see why there was a pretty active take-out business. They have a decent selection of adult beverages, if you're so inclined. The staff working were extremely helpful, friendly and patient. This is a highly recommended spot by me.“
“Today.I ordered a breakfast burrito! Horrible, the cooks for this morning, retrain them. The beans were water means, 2nd remake, the same. I've never ordered anything from the menu ? that was not satisfying ? with the exception of this “
“I live in Arcadia and I eat at Dima's weekly. They have the best carne asada tacos around town and the best salsa. You can get a meixcan soda as well as chips. Really loyal and respectful staff. Always looking foward to seeing them again when im in town“
“I love this place so much. The guy who works on Thursdays gives the BEST service. I love the food. I love the environment. The customer service is crazy good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!Vegetarian options: They have a whole vegan menu!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free friendly and vegan friendly!!!!“
“Very delicious tacos!!! Was a bit upset I didn’t get the right tortillas I asked for 2 of each and got all flour but other than that the taste was all there I will be back!!! the horchata was a 10/10 not too sweet just perfect definitely homemade horchata! Keith lee made me stop here !!! ???“
“Never been to Phoenix area before and wanted to find a very local authentic restaurant. We found it....Cocina Madrigal was exactly what we were looking for...We actually sat at the bar since there was a short wait for a table. I was here with a college friend who lived out of the state also. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had the combination Taco/Burros/Tamales/Enchiladas...Our gracious bartend/waitress suggested the perfect way they should be prepared. All the employees were very friendly and make you feel incredibly welcomed. Highly recommend and we will return when we are traveling through Phoenix..“
“¡Increíble! Me and my fiancee came in town while I have spring break off and we stopped in for a kick bite. He hate the Carne Asada Quesadilla (delicious). I tried a few different tacos, also tasty but I think my favorite were the Frijoles Preparados con Carne Asada *Chef Kiss*“
“This food truck is amazing! Everyone running it is super friendly. The food is delicious. The limes, sauces, onions and pico are self serve so load up as much as you want. The limeade agua fresca was a little sweet for me but tasted freshly made. They set up in a parking lot which is a little dusty, but they put out a big tent with chairs and tables and lamps at night so there was a steady stream of people sitting down to eat and hang out. Best of all, the tacos were a great price so just get one of each. You won't regret it. My personal ranking of best to less best: birria, cabeza, carne asada, chicken tinga, al pastor“
“We had a very pleasant and intellectually stimulating experience with friends while enjoyed food that walked us around the globe through four different courses, combining flavors and embracing cultures. I warmly recommend it.Vegetarian options: The chef can do wonders with anything you can imagine.Dietary restrictions: They can make cocktails alcohol free and sugar free...Parking: There a free public parking available and a nearby street too.Wheelchair accessibility: The place is wheelchair accessible and there's plenty room in the restrooms.“
“To be honest, I wouldn't know good authentic Mexican food if it hit me in the face. I pretty much threw a dart at the menu and ate. The food was soon good. Everyone was great. My whole party of friends really enjoyed he food and the atmosphere.“
“I accidentally discovered this place and I am so happy I did. The food is amazing! They give you generous amounts of meat in their tacos. The aguas frescas are tasty and refreshing. I can go on and on about their amazing food. If I have to say something they could improve one would be that maybe they could add more seasonings to their carne asada. Other then that the place is amazing!“
“More people gotta check this place out! Delicious, fresh food and friendly staff. And bonus if you need to stock up your home bar. My husband got the burger which was the size of his head and had the freshest ingredients, bun was divine and they clearly spare no expense with produce. My burrito and sauces were equally delicious and fresh. Cant recommend enough!“
“Ordered Menudo and a quesabirria taco… and both were delicious! It’s hard for me to find menudo I like if I don’t make it and let me tell you, this was on point. I’ll need to come in person and eat one day. Eat here, you won’t regret it, definitely taste the love in this cooking ?? Well done everybody“
“These are the absolute best shrimp tacos on the planet. You read that right. It’s not hype or fanfare. I am a career foodie and cook. Food trucks are sorely overlooked. Shrimp are fried to utter perfection. Crispy, golden battered heaven on the outside, juicy and succulent on the inside with tangy slaw, crispy cabbage and not one but two choices of chipotle sauce.(mild and spicy) Take it from me and get them with mozzarella cheese. They toast the cheese on the tortilla so that there is a crispy brown coating on top and melted, cheesy nirvana underneath. And for only $4 a taco, the portion are quite ample. Tacos are HUGE and they do not skimp on the shrimp! The owner and his family were sitting near my table and they saw my face when I took the first bite. He told his family, “Now that’s the face you wanna see!”. Places like these remind why I love food so much.“
“This is hands down the best Mexican fast food restaurant in AZ. I moved to Phoenix from San Diego where Roberto's in Ocean Beach is king, but this Roberto's is a very close comparison. The carne asada is always juicy and tender and flavorful. The tortas rock so hard that I have to Bang My Head every time I eat them. Which is after!“
“Phone did not eat first, this flan was incredible! The asada tacos and quesabirria tacos we got were also great - they even serve their street tacos with consome! The customer service was also impeccable - would definitely recommend and will be going back“
“I continue to have an amazing experience each time I dine at Joyride! Josh and Austin provided excellent service. Joyride is my #1 stop for margaritas and appetizers. We had the privilege of being able to try their new ceviche and it was very tasty! Please stop by and try Joyride for yourself ? they will not disappoint.“
“The two ladies behind the counter were so welcoming and friendly, felt like I was getting dinner from my Tías. We had carne asada tacos and the bandera burrito with rice and black beans, everything was excellent. They have a salsa bar and the serrano salsa was delicious! We also had horchata and it was just how I like it, not too sweet. They had good music playing and a casual environment that was family friendly. Highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: Fun decor and casual atmosphere.“
“Delicious tacos! I tried the Birria tacos and they were amazing, the horchata was great too. We came late at night and it's that area in Phoenix the so there were some homeless, they didn't bother anyone but I don't recommend bringing children after dark. There is a tent and a heater which we appreciated. Plates came garnished with cucumber and radishes ?“
“Just went today (9/18/23) for a Sonoran hot dog and was very glad we stopped here! We really liked the food, options are great, and they have Mexican cocas! Cant beat that! Didnt get the servers name but he was totally nice, he had a friendly personality and warm smile!“
“I tried their cheese enchiladas with red sauce and a side of rice. The rice was ok, but the enchiladas were amazing! The sauce was delicious and came with a drizzle of what I think was sour cream. Most Mexican restaurants will serve enchiladas with soggy lettuce that is usually warm, but not here! The enchiladas came with a chilled mix of fresh lettuce, tomato, onion and cilantro and it was perfect with the enchiladas! Super friendly service as well!“
“The food is absolutely amazing, but if you’re taking your food to go, I’d definitely call to place your order first! It took 25 minutes for us to get ours, 2 times since we’ve been there! And it’s not their fault it’s just because they are always busy ?“
“I usually get the birria tacos or the el jefe burrito and both are amazing. Today I got a chicken adobo(how many places do you know have adobo???) Burrito and I accidentally ate part of the wrapper but didn't notice because it all still tasted so good. I thought it was just a tough bit of lettuce or cabbage or something. Staff working has always been friendly and accommodating when customizing.10/10 you should goEdit: read some other reviews and wanted to update. Eaten here maybe a dozen times at this point and never noticed a sweet cinnamon or nutmeg taste(makes me wonder about how some people think cilantro tastes weird maybe?) In the burritos, tacos, or chimitos.“
“THE best tacos we had while in Arizona (Phoenix, Scottsdale, Cornville, Sedona, Jerome). Parking lot grill set up and sitting under a neon sign on a plastic table outside of a cake shop? Heck yes sign me the heck up. Also be forewarned that their drink sizes are GIGANTIC lol. None of us could finish ours and we could have shared one or two drinks between the three of us. That being said the pineapple agua fresca and horchata were delicious. Highly recommend the Lorenzo tacos and the quesadillas“
“My first time eating here. I am somewhat picky when it comes to eating at restaurants offering Mexican food because I like to cook my own at home. I have to say that I am impressed by how good the food tastes. The service was excellent and I met Javier the and he is absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend the food and the service.“
“This place was amazing. I am super picky when it comes to Mexican food as my hubby is from Mexico and is a fantastic cook. We had the Carne asada burritos and tacos Al Pastor. I have been looking for somewhere that had great Al Pastor like in Mexico and finally found it here. Their beans, salsas, and charred japelenos are also delicious. The place is very open and the music just makes it even better. My new favorite place. Will be going there more often.“
“My Fiancé and I come here almost every week. They are always quick and it’s always a favorite to come to when family is in town! The food is great every time and the guacamole bar is always a hit among the in-laws. The gentleman at the front is always super friendly and upbeat, would recommend this place to anyone in the Phoenix area!“
“This was a 10/10 experience. They were some of the best quesabirria tacos I've ever had. Meat was well cooked. Consume was amazing. Beans were pretty good too. Best part was all the free toppings they had including cabbage, onion, cilantro, pickled onions, radish, lime and salsas. Service was helpful and food came out extremely quick.“
“These are easily some of the best tacos I’ve had in AZ. Drinks were also very good. We ordered the crispy lamb, pork belly, Korean fried chicken, and the strip steak.. they were all amazing. We also got the taco of the week (lobster) which was great too. The guacamole was also very fresh! Will definitely be recommending to friends in the area.“
“We saw this place sever times on the drive home, and damn have we been missing out. Delicious, they have a shrimp wrapped bacon made Sonoran hot dog style, hot dogs Wednesday-Sunday and tacos Monday and Tuesday, staff is friendly and the coolers keep it cool even in the heat. When you order tacos, they lso give you a plate on the side with the toppings. Thse guys totally know what they do! The menu is authentic and the price is really great. The music was on point and not too loud. I recommend this place.“
“Best tacos in the us for sure. The meat was incredible. Arizona has a lot of tacos but none more authentic than this. The ambiance says it all. Some of my favorite songs came on. The staff was INCREDIBLY NICE. I felt like family. Can I come back every day?“
“If you're looking for a new mexican spot, then this one is it. I ordered the Burro Tatemado, and it was delicious ?. The only thing is they didn't add enough cheese to the burro. Place was packed the two times I went (and yes, I ordered the same thing both times). I just wanted to confirm my recommendation. The place is clean and the staff is nice. A good little spot to end a Friday or Saturday. Please let me know what you think. I will be back and will make sure to take pictures for you visual lovers like me.“
“This is a cool place. A little industrial feeling on the inside. Lots of day of the dead art work. We unfortunately didn't get seated in the main room but in a side room with only one other small group. Our server was very helpful with recommendations and I went with her suggestions across the board. Very good tacos. Chips were bland but the salsa bar had a lot of options and we arrived at a favorite which started with an "a" and was yellowish green but really flavorful with a kick. I got a platter and enjoyed the rice and beans as well. Would definitely go back.“
“I was impressed by the amount of people that they had working in order to provide better service to the customers. All the employees were very polite and seemed happy. The food was good. We ordered the meat by the pound. We also got quesadillas which tasted good. Pretty clean inside. We did not check out the restrooms.“
“I don't think the 2 most recent reviews are truthful. I eat here once a week. This is an amazing taco shop. They way they make your food to order is awesome. Like chipotle but actually good. You order they turn around and make your burrito/tacos and then move down the line of toppings/salsa.Every vege and sauce is soo flavorful. They even have pickled onions!I could have just reported them but that doesn't show how wrong they are. Below are WHY they are inaccurate, or just lies. The most recent, said they used a microwave. Which no, they do not, you order, they turn around and grill. The 2nd one is just inaccurate; the way they described ordering isn't correct with how this restaurant does it. You order what you want any they turn around and make it before moving down the line for toppings. So you don't even sit down before getting your food.“
“I had given this restaurant a bad review. But my friend wanted to bring me here because he likes the seafood here. Well after tasting their seafood I changed my mind. This place Wow the tostada especial was amazing. It hit that one spot before getting to full and makes you sleepy“
“Post gym meal went cray cray fr. The torta with al pastor was very good only wish they’d put more pineapple but regardless still very good. The champurrado was very delectable and creamyyy??. The service was top notch felt very welcoming and homey. A good experience “
