“Some places you visit once and forget. Tacos Rodriguez is not one of those places. I first came here with one of my best friends and we went all in — Carne Asada fries, Carne Asada tacos, the works. Everything was incredible. So when I found myself housesitting in the area, coming back was a no-brainer.

This time I kept it simple: a large Horchata and the Carne Asada burrito. Perfect decision. The burrito was packed, flavorful, and exactly what I remembered — the kind of food that earns a food truck a permanent spot in your rotation. And that Horchata? Honestly one of the better ones I’ve had.

What is a normal Sunday out for myself, turned into an experience to remember solely based on this man’s desire to make the guests that dine here happy, comfortable, and treated like family.

He touched base with EVERY single person at the bar and truly showed what it means to be a phenomenal business owner. “America's Taco Shop is tucked away on 7th Ave right on the Melrose Curve just north of the Copper Star.It is tucked away, but well worth the treasure hunt.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. I had a chicken and carne asada taco. Both were equally delicious with endless flavor in the meat. The roasted salsa and salsa verde are also both delicious. I ordered to go, but the restaurant is sizable with a a few tables and a TV.“

I was here with a college friend who lived out of the state also. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had the combination Taco/Burros/Tamales/Enchiladas...Our gracious bartend/waitress suggested the perfect way they should be prepared.
