“Took friends out for their birthday. Was not disappointed at all. Excellent waiter & food was delicious and timely. Very polite.never ate your restaurant and been living her 27 years. Can’t believe I’ve been missing your place and our awesome dining experience. See you soon & Thank you. Many restaurants make you feel rushed after you eat. Did not have that all as enjoyed one of cheesecakes drizzled either chocolate. Thanks again“
“The food was absolutely amazing. I went here with my family and we decided to try the unique menu items (green enchiladas and grilled cheese both with birria). The drinks are very unique and delicious and the food is so savory. The people working there were also very helpful and kind. I love it here :)“
“As with most open concept restaurants, it is loud. Everything else was fantastic! Our server/bartender was amazing. We ordered the chicharon pork belly tacos were amazing as well as the salsas and guacamole. We also had their butter cake. It was great.“
“This restaurant offers the best carne asada in town. All of their steak dishes are absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. The prices are very affordable and the Service is very friendly. I would definitely come check this place out. They have an amazing salsa bar with the best guacamole salsa I've had in a very long time.“
“They took forever, but it was so worth it. the portions are huge and the food was delicious. We got the enchiladas. Ceviche and shrimp quesadillas we could have totally shared 2 plates between the 3 of us, but we loved the leftovers. Our new favorite marisco place for sure. Service was good, but one girl was serving 4 tables, so we had to keep reminding her for things she was nice though. It was pricy $100 but we did get a lot of food, and it was good, so it was worth it for us. It was really cold in the restaurant but than again it's a mariscos restaurant.“
“Somethings you should know about ElGordo #9 It is diagonal in the intersection of Cactus and N 67th Ave. It is behind gas pumps. El Gordo is inside a gas station that has a lobby. There is a Chandelier in the lobby. The floor is so clean you can eat Mexican Food off it. Any marks you see on the floor are marks, not dirt. They don't do any mechanical work at the gas station. You can get gas in two ways. Before you go inside you should read the big signs on the outside to your left. They advertise specials. There is no music. There are so many choices on the menu. The portions of rice and beans are small. The food is generally inexpensive. They have a salsa, which is "rough" tasting. It is unique. You should try some. To do that you have to go there. You should. How can you pass up a gas station that has a lobby, a chandelier and serves very good (four star) Mexican food. The experience makes this five stars. One final page out of history El Gordo #9 occupies was formerly was the home of Casa De Falafel“
“I was in town visiting a friend. We went to revolu for dinner. Ordered elote for an appetizer. It was absolutely perfect and flavorful! I also ordered a couple of different style tacos and both were really good. We sat at the bar and our server, Andre, was great. He made a delicious mezcal Paloma for me. Their tequila selection is pretty limited, but they have a few good choices. The ambiance in the restaurant was great and it's nicely decorated. I'd highly recommend it! Great balance of flavor and different ingredients make the food special.“
“I wanted to take a moment and give an amazing review!! Since me and my family have found this little truck we cannot get enough!! Great tacos, burritos, quesadillas and we have had the pastor, omg so delicious shrimp, asada, and suadero!!! Salsa is great also and they have a good amount of seats if you want to eat there.“
“We had the Molcajete and it did not disappoint. We also really enjoyed the Chips & Salsa especially cause they bring them with an awesome bean dip. The Food had tons of flavor and Gigi was on point making sure we had a great experience. Thanks Gigi we will be back. ~Fabian “
“Tonight the guy was working alone, and still provided great food, polite customer service, and good music with a smile on his face... All in a timely manner when he got a late night rush. Definitely recommend to any and everyone, as their menu has options for everyone. This is now our family's favorite local taco truck spot. THANK YOU for the food.“
“We love Caminero's...great food (the tamales, breakfast burritos and carnitas tacos are some of our favorites). Salsa and chips and guac are all great as well. We also love to support locally owned businesses which they are. The staff is always friendly and appreciative of your business!“
“Walked in and was greeted with a smile. We ordered to go and it took 45 minutes to get our food. And by the time we got home (just over a mile away)it was cold. I do understand that stuff happens but it was slow and there wasn’t even a “I’m sorry about your wait” food was ok, would have been better warm.“
“Boycott any of the Bertos' joints, come try this place.Pros: Home made food! I CAN'T EXPRESS THAT ENOUGH.I got the California Burrito, Carne Asada Fries and the 5 Rolled Beef Tacos. The meat is not fatty and cheap like at other Bertos' locations. Deliciously seasoned and spiced. The rolled tacos aren't small microwaveable lookalikes, instead they're sizeable and filling. Their Salsa bar is delightful as well (He wasn't kidding about that red sauce oooowee). Most importantly, above their delicious home made cooking, their prices are outstandingly low and affordable.Cons: More like minor inconveniences...They do not have a drive through, so yes you'll need to get out of your vehicle and actually go in (oh no).Small hole in the wall, but wasn't busy. Potential for seating to be limited, but not in my experience.Home made cooking, means slightly longer wait time but your patience will be rewarded with delicious food.10/10 recommend. Try it out. They're not getting the business they deserve!Ps. Fortune cookie is for size comparison.“
“Chef Brown!!!!! Thank you for providing the absolute BEST smoked brisket for our Christmas dinner!!!! It was delicious!!!! My family got to it before I could take a picture but it was better than I had hoped for. Not too overwhelming with a smoky flavor but just the right balance with the spices. And TENDERRRRRRRR!!!!!!“
“Always great and affordable food! Tyler does a fantastic job there and seems to be there every time we go in. This is our go-to restaurant about once a week.Dietary restrictions: I have a soy allergy and I don't have to worry about it there. Just ask them and they'll tell you what's in the food.“
“Coming from a picky eater.!!!!! Tacos made perfectly ? to my like .. Had there Valentines day special.. Great dinning place to come and relax and eat.. Will definitely recommend and come back.. Hope you guys keep growing.. Thank you for the friendly service.Parking: Large shopping centerKid-friendliness: nice and calm ..Wheelchair accessibility: easy access“
“Pretty nice placeFind everything quite acceptable. Recommend it if you like real Mexican food. Prices are in line with just about any other place I have eaten at. No complaints at all. Keep it up. You're doing great.Parking: More than enough parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Double doors. Street ramp.“
“After Juan’s Mexican Food on Thomas and 16th street closed down. This is where I come for the best hardshell shredded beef tacos. The prices are great, the food quality is 9/10 great flavor and made fresh to order. I've tried mostly everything on the menu, so far, I haven't found any item I dislike. My favorite item is the California Burrito. The best one I've had hands down, no competition.Parking: Small parking lot, spaces are limited. Tight area. Check your car for damage when leaving.“
“Great food. Had the Verde shrimp taco, and Verde steak taco and was not disappointed!Love the salsa bar. It had six kinds of salsa, and even cilantro and extra limes to squeeze over your tacos. Fast and friendly service, I wish I could take this place home with me.Parking: Local mall parking available.“
“2024 update: lalalalallalllllllloooove this place! Their steak breakfast burritos with spicy mayo are ?Beware. If you come on a Sunday around breakfast time and expect to wait on the drive-thru.... Expect to WAIT. There's 17 cars in line blocking traffic! I counted. We recently moved from Phoenix to Peoria and have tried about 15+ restaurants, of all different kinds, in the 1.5 years we have been on the west side. They've all been 2 stars or less. I was really starting to wonder if westsiders just settled on mediocre food.We rode our bikes up to Brushfire on a Friday night. We had the chicken bowl with the croquetas and a carne asada burrito with the empanadas. Delicious! We did try a couple of their salsas and they were are great. This place reminds me of Chipotle but better. The Chipotle down the street near P83 is garbage compared to this place! We will be coming back!“
“Went on a Wednesday night. Not too crowded! The server was very informative on items on the menu. The bartender was funny! Drinks were great! The jalapeño style avocado dip was amazing! This is a must to start. We had the taco salad, which was great and chima, which was very tasty as well. Super great experience, we will definitely be back to try out more items in the menu.“
“So good, we ate there two nights in a row. New takes on traditional Mexican dishes beautifully presented. Wait staff extremely helpful, explaining food and drink to us. I would recommend the Jalapeño Margarita--mildly spicy and sweet. I never thought I would enjoy this drink so much. Would love to work my way through the whole menu.“
“My 'Better' half and I recently dined here for a leisurely lunch. We were greeted immediately, and shown to a table. There we were met with chips and salsa. The chips were thin, crunchy (not greasy at all) and not outrageously sized, while both salsas were very thin (one was spicy, the other probably mild tomatillo) but tasty (especially together on a chip). We both ordered off the ala cart portion of the lunch menu and both ordered a couple of tacos. We both tried the carnitas tacos while she paired it with a chicken taco. I went with a shredded beef taco as my second one. All of them were delicious (especially the carnitas tacos). Our waiter was attentive (not overly, just right), and the prices were about average. All-in-all, we would definitely recommend Don Lencho's.“
“The Birria is really flavorful and a must! Had the birria nachos which would have been perfect but a bit too much cheese for my liking but their red salsa was the real MVP! The Jamaica Agua Fresca is a must! Churros were basic but good. Thank you, Evelyn for a great first time experience! We'll be back to try the birdie ramen.“
“Had the menudo this morning and it did not disappoint. The caldo was flavorful, they put plenty of protein in it and the tortillas I'm not sure if they were made in house, but they were definitely from the same day. Besides the great dish, I did go through the drive thru and there was a decent size line which went pretty quick. The young lady at the window was very polite and attentive to which condiments I wanted. Overall I am beyond pleased with every aspect of this restaurant. Thank you for a phenomenal breakfast.“
“I never heard of this place until my sil said one morning she wanted this place. We are far from this place it's not a simple drive. She loved always so I thought I'll give it a try. Very amazing. Very delicious and so filling. I had a breakfast burrito and I loved the green salsa they make, my burrito was heaven! I'm glad I know of this place now. Highly recommend.Parking: Drive thru is small“
“First time trying this location. We’d been going to the one on Greenway for years. After going to another restaurant that had an unorganized staff and no a/c, we decided to drive out here and try this. I’m so glad we did. We walked in and the hostess asked if we wanted bar or restaurant. I said I didn’t care, whichever had the shortest wait. We were immediately seated in a booth in the bar, and our server walked over. Manuel, “Manny,” was an older gentleman and very personable. But best of all, he was efficient and attentive, but not bothersome. He brought extra salsa, extra chips without asking. He brought extra water without asking and before we were empty. He checked to make sure we had everything, and at the end of our meal, he made me a balloon animal. Completely unexpected - a nice touch, I haven’t had a balloon animal since I was a kid. Manny made our night and hands down is the best server we’ve ever had. Superb service that doesn’t seem to exist anymore. Thank you Manny!!!! (And the food was good too.)“
“We had our eldest daughter's wedding caterer this past weekend. We chose this place specifically to honor our grandmother, who has since passed, who introduced us to their original restaurant as small children. Our guest absolutely loved all of the food selections. Most importantly the bride and groom loved it! Our reception was a success because of it. Thank you to the owners, cooks, and delivery staff.“
“I really love this place despite the "suburbia" feeling of being in a strip mall atmosphere. The tacos are always spot-on and would rival any food truck out there.Pros:**Lots of seating...esp outdoor**Great condiment/salsa bar... Stocked, clean and they provide gloves to minimize germ transference**Really good tacos! And salsa! Pork, chicken or steak each one under $3**Smallish menu but I liked having fewer options... Easier to choose!!Cons:**Taco Tuesday discount is only 20%... Which does not feel like a deal considering the entire menu saw a price increase over the last year but the discount is only applicable on the tacos**Service is just OK. The front counter lady knew nothing about the place she works at - inc 2 questions about the menu and whether or not WI-FI was even available to customers. She did point to "a manager" and suggested I speak with her if I wanted to wait until she wasn't busy (she was sweeping).**Even tho the salsa bar is a huge plus, I wish they would add cucumbers and to go bags for limes, etc.“
