My vegetarian daughter loves that she has many vegetarian options. The pineapple drink is delicious. We try something new every visit and have yet to be disappointed. I love having this gem in Goodyear!!“

“Last time I was in the area this location wasn't open so today I decided to stop by and try them out. Is there anyone in this world who can say no to a Quesabirria taco? Not me anyway. I was pleased to see it was pretty busy inside. While small, it has a good amount of seating and smells amazing inside. We took a moment to look over the menu and decided on four Quesabirria tacos and a cheese quesadilla. They have two sizes of Quesadilla so I ordered a medium. We were greeted right away and our order taken. We were given a number and told they'd bring it out to us when ready. Everything arrived so fast and looked amazing. They have salsa bar with multiple salsas, cucumbers, onions and cilantro and such. The green salsa was awesome! The consommé had great flavor and adding the cilantro and onion made it even better. Our tacos were full of meat and cheese amazing. Thank goodness I ordered the smaller quesadilla because the tacos were so filling. We really enjoyed everything and will definitely be back. The location was clean and well kept.“

“This is our favorite Ma & Pa restaurant to go to. Especially on a Mon or Wed, they have the best Margarita's for $1.50!!! ??
They make you a fresh bowl of tortilla chips & salsa when you walk in. My go to is the Red Chili & Bean Indian Fried Bread!!!
Their red chili is so tasty, tender, full of flavor and not too hot!
My husband loves the chili relleno's and the green chili chicken enchiladas.
I've been coming here for years, we even had our wedding reception here and everyone enjoyed their food & atmosphere.

“First time trying Calizona and let me just say this was was the best Mexican food truck I have had in a WHILE. I got a carne asada burrito with everything inside and I could taste the flavorful carne asada along with the amazing Spanish rice. It was big nice size burrito that I saved for leftovers. Make sure to grab the salsa if you’re a spicy sauce lover, it’ll go perfect with the burrito. I waited a good amount of time to enjoy such a wonderful burrito. I will def be back to try other thing on their menu. Their pictures do not lie!

“The tacos are delicious, everything is clean, the employees are very friendly, the only bad thing is that the tacos are served very fatty, to heat the tortilla they add fat and to serve the meat it takes even fat broth and I tell them but they always do the same.
That's why I better not go.

First off the ac was set to 83 degrees it felt extremely hot, and the other thing was the salsa cups, can they be any smaller? I go to many taco shops and they all use the decent size cup. Had to take some food to go and these small cups really ain’t it.“

“We go here a loooot. For years. More than I want to admit, lol. I really wish they'd stop raising prices :( but the food is always good. Recently though, we've had our order messed up frequently. It's a very simple order, 2 of the exact same entree, no substitutions or anything like that... they always kindly fix/remake the order but it's strange how often it's been happening. We've learned to double check our order before heading home to eat which was never a concern in previous years.“

“Don’t pay too much attention to their bad reviews. This place is amazing! Cozy mom and pop shop. The food may not look “instagramable” but let me tell you, it’s done right!! Freakn delicious!! ? we had the Camarón Empanizado plate, 4 tacos, Carne asada burrito, 2 waters, and 2 sodas. All for just under $40 bucks! The staff is so lovely! This morning we stopped by and ordered The Mexican Flag and Pancakes with Churros, and of course, with Cafe de Hoya. Our waiter, that we get from time to time, is always on top of it. Monster burritos. Sorta thing you need after a long day at work when you're too exhausted to go home and cook a meal.For me personally it's the Diablo shrimp burrito. Everyone boasts that they have a spicy burrito but it's always a letdown in the actual spice or flavor department. Whatever they're putting in that Diablo sauce is fire. I don't care what the repercussions are the next morning when I wake up and have to sit on the porcelain throne, I'm always asking for a little extra Diablo sauce. It ties so well with the shrimp and rice. I hope they come up with more menu items that incorporate that sauce.The location itself is in a comfy part of town, and considering they make all the food from scratch service is very fast. Shout out to the guy working the window, he's always super cool and we talk cars almost every time I pull up.“

“I cannot say enough good things about this place! The happy hour is excellent. Best prices and bang for your buck. Birria tacos are a favorite of mine. If you’re going for a night cap or dinner, even live music, again this is the place. My regular bartender Lou is amazing, and if you’re lucky enough to get him, he’ll make your day. Super knowledgeable, clean, professional, and attentive. I never have an empty glass, I think my counter is wiped down at least two or three times and every drink is always perfectly blended and excellent. Service is quick, chips and salsa always come out right away and food is always fresh and hot. So glad the Barrio queen is part of my barrio !“

I did feel that the carnitas were a little bland nothing that a little salt wouldn’t fix. “I have 3 special needs adults in my home. They are very picky.
The only restaurant they want food from on the weekends is Federico's. They love the carne asada fries. For myself, whatever I try is excellent. Everyone who works there is very helpful and very nice. This is by far my favorite restaurant that is close to my house. I stop by every Saturday and Sunday and the food is fantastic! “We always went to the one on 7th Street in Central Phoenix. Super excited to see one near our new home. My other half is a vegetarian, and they ordered a vegetarian burrito. They kept finding bits of meat in their order, even though it was remade 3x. Apparently, they use the same grille so things get cross contaminated. It was never an issue at the 7th street location. Sadly, we won't be able to go back to this location. They really tried to make it better, which we appreciated, and my meal was awesome.“

“OK, so I am not sure about the lower star reviews that I’ve been reading here. The food I had was fantastic and I had a good variation of about 10 dishes.

My absolute favorite were the Ranchero fries. But honestly, everything was really good. The way they cut their Asada is nice and thin so it’s not dry and the chicken sliced the same exact way was really moist. I love the fact that they make fruit smoothies and they also have a bowl option. The adobo bowl was very flavorful and very filling, overall the staff was awesome and the food was very good. The strawberry tres leches was money! The torta bread was perfectly crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. When I’m in the area, I’m definitely coming back.“
