“Excellent Sonoran Mexican restaurant. Start with a basket of very fresh and warm chips plus very tasty salsa. It was hard to stop eating them. I had the Carne Machaca dinner. Slow roasted pot roast in onions,peppers, and tomatoes. Fresh homemade tortillas. This was a wonderful dish served with rice and black beans.My wife had the Mahi Mahi tacos. Perfectly cooked Mahi in a fresh semi cooked corn tortilla. Cover with a pineapple slaw and a cream sauce. She loved it. Top notch service. Waiter was friendly and attentive.Lots of parking. Well worth the trip.“
“Oscar’s is my wife and I go to spot! We live relatively close and when we can’t decide, we always go to Oscar’s.My go to dish is the rolled tacos and as you can see it never disappoints. They have 3 or 5 rolled tacos options to choose room. The beefy to tortilla ratio is perfect, so you’re not eating just tortilla. As you can see they provide you with plenty of avocado and cheese as toppings, which those alone make the rolled tacos delicious.This time I tried the bean tostada. This was amazing and will probably be on list that I’ll continue to order regularly. It had plenty of beans, avocado, cheese. The tortilla itself was still rigged throughout the entire eating process and was not flimsy which tends to happen with some tostados.Try their Red and Green Chile you won’t be disappointed.If you’re near Oscar’s or driving through and want a bite to eat, stop and give this place a try as they’ve got plenty of options and you won’t be disappointed.“
“I’ll be dreaming of these tacos every day for the rest of my life. Let’s taco bout it. (See what I did there?) if you know me or read my reviews there’s three things I could live on forever. Tacos of course, Pho and Cold Brew. There are a couple taco spots I frequent, but I always listen for new places to check out. If they’re local I definitely have to come and support. My daughter and I were in the mood for some Quesa Birria tacos so I looked around to see what my options were near El Mirage since we were in the area supporting another local spot. My eyes instantly saw Calizona and I knew this was where we were headed. I’ve heard great things and I’m honestly surprised I hadn’t stopped yet since our favorite butcher shop/market for asada and such is so close. I followed the directions and knew where to stop when I saw the red truck. The lot it is parked in is small, but there was decent parking. I can see it filling up quick. It is located in front of a busy tire shop. As I stated it is a food truck so there is no inside seating. There is however multiple tables with tent cover. Each table has a cooler with salsa to keep cold. The menu is simple and so many tasty options. After a few questions we went with six quesa Birria tacos which to my surprise free consommé because we ordered more than three. We ended up with two consommé which was more than enough even with my daughter dunking those tacos like her life depended on it ha ha. Let me tell you if you could win a taco contest on looks and smell alone they’d win every time. Presentation was on point, some lemons topped a few and oh man from the first bite to the last we couldn’t get enough. The flavor was fantastic. The consommé kicked it up to a whole new level and the toppings fresh. We arrived around 1pm so it wasn’t too busy; just a few other people. Service was good and the cashier gave us some salsa containers to fill to take our food with us. It was a bit cold so while we did take it to go we sat and ate it in the car. Make sure you grab plenty of napkins because those juices run wild. Salsa options had a good kick. I already am planning our next visit to bring back more family and try the rest of the menu. If you’re a lover of Birria then run don’t walk. This is definitely a piece of taco heaven in the much needed west valley!Parking: Small lot so at busy times can be tougher to find a place to park, but so worth it!“
“This has been the best sit down Mexican restaurant we have found in Surprise. Really well seasoned rice and beans. The chips were fresh. I wish the salsa had a little more spice but it was good. The chicken enchilada mole was very well balanced. The green chile burro enchilada style had great flavor too.“
“If you want some of the best Taco's you have to go to Master Taco!!! Plus if Nelly is working you are going to get the best service. She makes this place even better. On point with your order and even with tons of tickets in the window and taking orders she still makes time to bring you your food with a smile. “Food was great, staff was friendly and we had good service. Will definitely go a lot! Only negative is it was a full restaurant and so loud with talking could not even hear music or barely each other. Maybe some sound reducing elements are needed. Otherwise, so excited you are here!“
“Tanner provided quick service and was super polite and attentive. I am pleased with the atmosphere here and how quick the food came out! At other Barrio locations, I wait much longer for my food but this location was so much faster and I felt that Tanner did an amazing job handling the lunch rush! “In my eternal quest to find the best street Tacos in AZ, I found myself at Casa de Papa Gourmet Tacos yesterday. This place did not disappoint. We were greeted by a super friendly lady that was full of information and helpful explaining our options. Ultimately I ordered three street tacos, Carne Asada, Ground Beef and Birria. My wife ordered the grilled Talapia and Coconut shrimp street tacos. These tacos are some of the most delicious tacos we have ever had. My favorite was the Birria taco and my wife's favorite was the fish taco. We also enjoyed the chips and salsa which are complimentary when dining in. If you are looking for a great street taco with tons of flavor and love, look no further, this is the place. I can't wait to go back and try something else in the menu. As far as the dining accommodations, it's pretty utilitarian, don't wear a tie, come as you are and come hungry!“
“I called my order in for breakfast burritos She said they would be ready in 10-15 minutes I was there in 15 and they were ready. They were delicious Went back 3 days later for a different breakfast burrito and it was delicious as well. Good size burritos and good price“
“We love home-style Mexican food and this place definitely has that: simple & rustic. We sat down and received a red & green salsa with corn chips which were lovely and fresh. We ordered a combo-plate with one chile relleno and one enchilada each. My wife got a pulled beef enchilada while I got a plain cheese. When the food came everything was delicious and generous serves. We both loved the chile relleno while both enchiladas were fresh and tasty. Rice & beans were good too and a dollop of sour cream topped everything off. Prices were very reasonable and we left Las Cazuelas full and happy. We will go there again! Thank you!“
“Food is really good. Big sized burritos. I would say it is more of the 4.5 because i wish the burritos were more tightly wrapped or more toppings. Each bite felt like all the ingredients kept pushing down since there is such open space. Still good price and great tasting proteins in the burritos.“
“My husband was addicted to their yellow corn tortillas since like the year 2000. When he lived with roommates in early 2000's, they used to buy like 10 packs a week. They would warm them up on their coil burner stovetop in the apartment. The smoke detector will always activate because they loved them crispy & burned ??.Then suddenly Food City no longer carries them.?“
