“I had only one night “home” before continuing to Cali. Tacos Veganos was on the top of my list for food I HAD to have. I decided to try this Avondale location and they did NOT disappoint.

I got the carne asada torta with extra mayo. As delicious as ever! I will dream about this until I return. My new house might just need to be next door.

The horchata was still delicious.

I tried their birria ramen and it was really good. A hint of spice, perfect noodles, and a nice flavor. I love that they separate the ramen noodles and the broth for to-go orders.

Habibi loved the Surf & Turf burrito. He couldn’t believe it was vegan.

The biggest difference between my Phoenix and Avondale experience was the customer service. The young lady at the counter was so nice, helpful, and friendly; a complete 180 from my experience with the chics at the Phoenix location.

They had a few desserts, like cheesecake, but I knew I’d be too full to try it. Next time I’ll make room for dessert. I do wish they had churros though, with vegan soft serve and chocolate/caramel sauce options. I’d stuff myself for that combo.“

“I'm from Las Vegas and I'm out here on business. I heard about this place from some locals and decided to check it out for lunch today. And let me tell u.... This place did not disappoint!! I got the Chile Rellenos Omelet... and OMG!! It was to die for! From the moment it hit my table, the aroma coming off my plate was amazing! I could not wait to sink my teeth in to that first bite, and when I did... WOW!!! I can't even begin to describe how delicious it was. I also got a Horchata to drink. And up until now, I always thought Horchata was Horchata... Boy was I wrong. I don't know what's so special about their Horchata, but it was the BEST Horchata I've ever had!
I love this place, I highly recommend everyone try this place if ur in the Phoenix/Mesa/Tempe/Chandler area. It's located in Avondale and it is definitely worth the drive!“

“Tried this place for a pickup order and got a few burritos, and everything was really good! The carne asada was seasoned really well, and the salsas had great flavor. The refried beans and carne asada fries were definitely standouts for me. I’d honestly go back just for those! Overall, a really solid Mexican food spot, and I’ll definitely be back to try more.“

“I had the tacos de assada and they had good flavor and they provide 3 different salsas that were all good and had a kick i really liked the green one. I also got the jamica which is more on the sweeter side but still a must-have. The food came out fast and the service was great i definitely will be going back!!“

“We’ve had a lot of great tacos in AZ, but decided to try someplace new because of the tacos de milanesa. We love them in tortas but never tried it as a taco and it was great. They give you the option of corn or flour tortillas which is cool and it has beans as well. Flour tortilla was perfect for this taco. Also tried the milanesa torta which was probably the best thing we tried. Even better than the taco.

Also tried consomé with carne, and three tacos (chicharrón, asada and tripa). Tacos were just ok. Had great potential but seemed like they sat a while. Asada was a little dry but tasted great. An hour earlier might have changed everything. Chicharrón was a little salty and tripa was just ok. Consommé was also a little salty like it had sat a while. It was kinda of late (8pm), so may have to go back and give them another try earlier in the day. The trompo was already turned off and clean, so which was the first clue and why I didn’t order the Al pastor. Should have figured some of the other food was prepared earlier as well. Anyway, happy to have tried it and our new go to for milanesa and will try some other options again but earlier in the day.“

“Great new location, full little market with a good selection in their meat counter as well as cheese, pan dulce, cakes, deserts, fresh hot tortillas and a full restaurant!!! “my brother raved about this restaurant back in 1998 in the San Diego area when I came to visit, and although it was good, I didn’t understand why until recently. Everything is made fresh, the meat, the sauces, presented hot and made to order.

I’ve stopped by for lunch a few times now and have not been disappointed. I get the combo with the flour tortillas and make my own tacos… delish!“

“Of course nothing beats 'grandmas' food but I enjoy the food they have here. I used to come more often.
The service is just ok. Like most establishments its hit or miss whenit comes to customer service.
It sucks a little because the prices have gone up quite a bit like most things. I guess its just apart of life now a days.
So today I ordered 2 carne asada plates, a plate of 5 rolled tacos, and 2 horchatas. wich totalled $45 and some change. The plates don't look as big as they used to be, could just be me. But if the serving sizes are smaller, shouldn't they have lower prices. That's just business I suppose.
