“First time here, food was fresh and flavorful, we also got the carne asada nachos, they were good - chips were still crispy and had a lot of toppings. Rice and beans taste homemade which was great!

Only cons: there is a weird smell upon entering that kind of makes you lose your appetite before receiving your food. Tables/chairs are super worn down.
I’m not sure if they share the bathroom key with homeless in the area (bathroom is outside) but from the looks of it (which is very kind) at the same time it’s unsanitary to those who are paying and using the restroom then sharing the bathroom key with homeless people.“

“We used Taqueria Obson to cater our bicycling event. The food was fabulous and we received so many compliments on it! All the ingredients were fresh and they were pleasant people to work with. I will definitely use them again! I can't find the rating stars, but would gladly give them 5! The food was delicious and reasonably priced.“

We walked in at 7pm on a Saturday night and got the only 2 open seats! We had the cucumber salad and the Pollo Asado plate. It filled us both up with extra which we have to the first houseless person we ran into.
The dishes were awesome. Especially the peppers in sauce.“

“I started eating lunches at Don Jose in 1966 while I was pregnant with my daughter. I ate there often because I worked nearby. As the years went by we ate there so many times the “original” staff knew us by name. When they closed down we were saddened, but were so happy when they sold the business (and recipes) and reopened. My daughter and family and almost every close friend I have continue to enjoy the great food, the family atmosphere, friendly staff and owners. I highly recommend Don Jose’. Best find of 1966 through today!!“

“The carne asada fries were delicious! The fries were loaded with tender, flavorful carne asada and all the right toppings, making them a filling and satisfying meal. The sauces were especially good and added the perfect amount of flavor to every bite. The portions were generous, the food came out hot, and the casual atmosphere made it a great spot to grab a meal in Tempe. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“Delicious! Delicious! I'm Mexican and this place knows how to prepare Mexican food. We stopped by for brunch and the food was sooo delicious! Better than my own dishes or how it's supposed to be. 😆 The waitress was very attentive and kept refilling our drinks. It wasn't fake Americanized salsa but just good old fashion salsa and cooking. Their website says it's all family recipes and I believe we tasted it as so.“

“I was introduced to El Pollo Supremo in the late 80's and have been a regular customer ever since. Simply put, the absolute best chicken I've ever eaten. The chicken and beef are slow cooked over a wood fire flame, and always cooked to perfection. I always order the combo plate (1/4 chicken; 1/4 beef). Every plate comes with your choice of flour or corn tortillas, pinto beans with incredible flavor, pickled red onions & homemade salsa. You can create your own burritos, or eat the items individually. The restaurant has been owned and run by the same family for the 40+ years I've been eating there. They are always incredibly nice and personable. I've referred dozens of friends who all have also become regular patrons. The food is consistently perfect. I can't say enough good things about this place. Its located on University near Arizona State University (right next to Buffalo Exchange). If you're not eating there you're missing out. Its a bit out of my way home from work but my family loves it so much it's always worth the trip. Prices are very reasonable, just be sure to bring cash. They don't take plastic in any form.
