“We used Taqueria Obson to cater our bicycling event. The food was fabulous and we received so many compliments on it! All the ingredients were fresh and they were pleasant people to work with. “We have been coming here for over 20 years specifically for the molcajete. It is always made to order and always has the same delicious flavor . You will not find this same flavor molcajete anywhere else. They offer a variety of mariscos but compared to other marisco restaurants they have a smaller menu. Definitely worth the drive for this amazing dish.“

“We had read about Bacanora and all the awards, and eating here did not disappoint. From the prawns to the cactus to the short rib, the food was excellent. Everything is cooked over an open flame in the restaurant and the atmosphere is wonderful. We were celebrating our anniversary and the wait staff was attentive and helpful with great suggestions and pairings. Definitely a restaurant that deserves all the accolades it gets.“

We had casually mentioned it was our 30th wedding anniversary on Monday and Pam graciously paid for our meal and drinks!!! “We found Los Sombreros completely by accident and wound up thoroughly enjoying our meal here.

The Los Sombreros parking lot is tight and finding a space at dinner could be a little difficult, but there is plenty street parking along side and behind the restaurant.

The restaurant is on the smaller side, with several tables on the inside and several tables on the back covered patio. It was crowded when we had dinner, but the tables are spaced enough that you didn't feel like you were on top of one another. The decor is fun with exposed brick, wood beams, painted murals, and an eclectic mix of furniture and decorations. Very clean, bright space to enjoy a meal.

Our server, Jason, was very attentive and gave some good suggestions on what to try. The rest of the staff were also friendly. The chips and salsa were very good, and felt like they were freshly made. The house salsa is thick, not runny and had great flavor. We wound up getting the Puerco en Mole Verde and the Chicken Tortilla Soup. Both were fantastic! Everything was properly prepared.

The prices are a slight bit higher than some other places, but the quality of the ingredients here more than makes up for the price. I would definitely eat here again the next time I'm in the area!“

“Best Breakfast Burritos! Very friendly family that owns and operates the establishment. Been many times and it's always pleasurable. Sorry I don't have a picture of my breakfast burrito to share on here because I already ate it, that's how good they are. I could take a picture of my stomach but nobody needs to see that. Tortillas are melt in your mouth good and they have very good small dessert cakes available too in like 6 different flavors! Thanks Sahuaro's!“

“I started eating lunches at Don Jose in 1966 while I was pregnant with my daughter. I ate there often because I worked nearby. As the years went by we ate there so many times the “original” staff knew us by name. When they closed down we were saddened, but were so happy when they sold the business (and recipes) and reopened. My daughter and family and almost every close friend I have continue to enjoy the great food, the family atmosphere, friendly staff and owners. I highly recommend Don Jose’. Best find of 1966 through today!!“

“I typically don’t go to Mexican restaurants, as I really don’t like them. My friend drug me there and I went back again the next day. The shrimp tacos are to die for. I could eat them everyday. Even the chips and salsa was the best of any restaurant I’ve been to. I wish they had one here in Illinois! If I go back to Scottsdale, I’m going straight there to eat! Also the bartender/waiter was the friendliest, most efficient, knowledgeable guy! He was amazing!“

“We hit this place on our way to the airport. Never had heard of it and when we visit our kid at asu we usually hit the buffalo exchange next door. We will come back again again!! The owner told us it is named after his little town near Pueblo. Amazing food!! The mole unreal! And the tostadas and tacos - small bits - were so rich and authentic with just the right kick. Super friendly and amazing food. Don’t know what it is like at night…looks like it might be a night club. Fabulous experience. So good!“
