“This is the absolute best casual Mexican restaurant in Scottsdale! Every item is delicious, but my favorite is the Tacodillas. Anytime my husband works from home, we love to eat lunch here. If you haven’t tried it, you have to head there for lunch ASAP!“

“Checo’s Taco Shop is easily one of my favorite spots in the valley. The Checo’s burrito is hands down the best Cali burrito around, packed with flavor and always made fresh. The fish taco is amazing too, definitely a must try if you haven’t had it yet.

It’s a smaller spot so it never feels packed or rushed, which I actually love. The staff are super friendly and make you feel welcome every time. Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re craving good tacos without the wait.

Sorry taco bell, I had the #12 Carnitas plate. Good size servings and classic carnitas. Needs some level of hot sauce but an easy fix for your own taste. Included rice and beans. Beans were average.

Other orders where rolled tacos (6) on a plate. Both family members said they were good and filling.“

“This is hands down the best Mexican food we have ever had. Mexican food is both mine and my husband's favorite. We have never had anything as delicious as this place and we have tried so many different restaurants. We would frequent this at least weekly if in our town (Prescott). Everyone should try this place.“

“This was our first time at this restaurant and we loved it! All of the food is cooked fresh to order. They even make the guacamole fresh for every order. We had guac, chips, rice, and several different types of the street tacos (which they call mini tacos). We got corn tortillas which they make in house! Loved the fresh lime and salsa bar also. “We are so thrilled Frank and Lupe's is back in Scottsdale. The menu is identical to the original. The chicken stuffed poblano chile with enchiladas and the green chili soup are some of our favorites. The margaritas have actually improved from the original location! The chips and salsa are just how we remember. Our service was warm and friendly. Last time Hanny was our server and she was fantastic. Our family has great memories and celebrated many milestones at the old location we are excited to create new ones here!“

“You will see a lot of reviews bitching about the prices.... welcome to Scottsdale, AZ!! I am not sure if these reviewers only eat fast food, but restaurant prices have skyrocketed the last few years... at EVERY restaurant. You will see a lot of the same reviewers that left bad reviews for Jalapeno Inferno down the street for the same reason... prices.

Moving on... the food is good! Is it a bit bland, sure. You can thank all the midwest transplants that fear spice for that. The habanero salsa is a decent cure.

I ALWAYS sit in the bar. Great TV's for sports. Comfy barstools... so comfy that they cause a couple extra margarita orders...

I highly recommend the bar... simply because JETT IS THE MAN!!!! This dude can make a margarita! You wouldn't think it would be that hard to find a decent margarita in this town, but it is! They use fresh lime juice and Jett is well aware that club soda in a margarita is blasphemy.

“Very noisy place. Food pretty good and reasonably priced. Our waiter Christian was mediocre and seemed disinterested in serving our group of eight people. Manager was accommodating by relocating us to a quieter room. Parking can be an issue here.“

“We hadn’t been here for a while, and as with almost all other restaurants, the prices have increased fairly dramatically. They still have one basket of free chips and salsa and both were really good. We especially like the flour chips. We ordered the quesadilla Cobb salad and the nachos.

Both presentations were great and the nachos were huge. Way more than one person could eat. The Cobb salad was good, but maybe 1/4 of the bacon and chicken was chewy to inedible. The nachos had lots of chicken, cheese and refried beans and were very good. Diced tomatoes, diced jalapeños, sour cream, and guacamole were sprinkled on top.

The service was good and we recommend giving it a try.“

“I was HUNGRY so I didn't take pictures, but the food was pretty good. Ordered the 2 burrito combo, one beef and one chicken, and damn boi were they stacked with a good amount of meat!
FYI, the chicken is kinda dry so don't do what I did and skip the salsa. I regret it so much. It wasn't bad at all, but it's totally what it wasing and it's all MY fault for skipping and I don't want you to make the same mistake xD

But yeah these burritos were thick enough that it was 2 meals for me! Also comes with beans n cheese & and rice.“
