“I would recommend everything about this restaurant. Your experience starts with the staff at the front, everyone is on point and attentive. I didn’t see a single time that the wait and floor staff left the area without seeking eye contact from other diners. Then ….. the kitchen. Watching during a mid-service rush, you will see the calm energy that only comes from a great team culture. Everyone focused on each and every detail. Nothing goes out that doesn’t meet the team’s high standards. This kind of brigade can only come from one thing. The Chef….. Cory Oppold has always led by example. He showed everyone how deep his character was during the “Sack Lunch” and In-Home dining year. I don’t think there is anyone I would rather work beside in a kitchen than Chef Cory. The Food…… Every component adding to the story… some whispers, some screams…… taunting, flirting, enticing the culinary listener to turn the page in anticipation. Beautiful food that is as exciting to taste as it is to look at…… winner winner Squab, John Dory, and Steak dinner!! You owe it to yourself to go experience Team Oppold in action, you will never be the same again“

“We stop by when we are in Scottsdale. Came in on a random Wednesday (7/9) afternoon, and to our delight the fabulous Patrick James Jr. was performing great country covers. There was a small crowd in the bar. The bartender (sorry, didn’t catch his name) was friendly and efficient. Seemed to be having a great time with his customers. We overheard him talking about the vault behind the bar. I love the decor, and the seating is comfortable. I’m sure it’s impossible to get a seat on Friday or Saturdays though! We only grabbed a drink here, so I can’t speak on the food. For the music, vibe and bartender, 10/10. We will visit again next time in Scottsdale!“

“Waitstaff was very well versed in the menu. Food was amazing. Ordered one of each type of raw oyster. While we waited they brought out some amazing sourdough rolls and butter. Ordered shrimp pasta. Shrimp just a smidge over done but still nice and tender. Sauce was divine. Too full for dessert.“

Stopped in for a Tuesday nightcap and was greeted so warmly. Sat at the bar just looking for a drink and was blessed by her presence and genuine personality. I typically read while I have my evening sip but found myself enjoying the music and her company. She took the time to have an authentic conversation, which I find rare living in New York.

Working in luxury retail has taught me the importance of hospitality over service. Hailey delivered authentic hospitality. She listened to me complain about the lack of water in my hotel and sent me home with a cup of water.

Truly enjoyed my time and above all, enjoyed getting to chat with someone who made me feel so welcomed. Looking forward to visiting on my next trip.“

The breakfast menu was not as exciting and the food was just ok. The pancakes came and were not browned on the outside and tasted somewhat gritty. Not sure if it was a bad batch or the recipe. “It was very fun tasting a variety of scotch. The ambiance was interesting and the man who did the tasting was amusing. I had previously done it with a host named Guy who wore a kilt and it was more entertaining. I thought they had snacks/food we could order, but did not, which was disappointing because this was a birthday celebration. “My husband and I were here 4 years ago and enjoyed it so much, we had to stop by again on our recent trip even though we stayed at a different resort. This is one of our favorite lobby bars for the atmosphere and the drinks. This time we had an awesome bartender Zack who even made me my favorite drink from 4 years ago that’s no longer on menu. We enjoyed his drinks and conversation so much we even went back after dinner for more. The cocktails are sophisticated and the bar is such a great place to sit and chat with the bartenders. Zack is super knowledgeable of cocktails and can make you drinks you’ve never even heard of! If you’re in Scottsdale, whether you stay at Phoenician or not, I highly recommend dropping by for a cocktail or two. The experience made our night!“

He went out of the way to find us a place to sit and continued to ensure that we were comfortable and taken care of.
