“HAPPY birthday Josie! Our group was visiting town and she rocked the bar solo all night. Thankfully, everyone was was pretty chill but she managed to handle everyone even when it got auper busy. A+. The place is rad, and perfect for a local neighborhood hang. If I lived near it, I'd be there pretty frequently.“

“Playa Bar is a fun spot in South Scottsdale! We had a great time enjoying the cool atmosphere, free pool, and darts (available for a fee). The pizza was excellent, and the Caesar wrap was delicious. A special shoutout to Ava behind the bar—she was a great conversationalist and genuinely went out of her way to make our time there enjoyable. Our group of us had a fantastic time and will definitely be back! 🍕“

“My sister took me here for my 21st birthday, and I had the best birthday ever. I got to try lots of different drinks, the bartender was very knowledgeable. I’ve been back other times for the insane Bloody Mary special on Sundays. They have pool tables, darts and usually a fun band. This is a family run business and truly nice and decent people. They work hard and care a lot about the people who come in there. The coolest dive bar ever!“

“Stopped by Groggy’s Bar and really enjoyed the atmosphere. It’s a large, classic dive-style bar with a dark laid-back vibe, plenty of pool tables, and music playing even in the middle of the day that made the place feel fun and lively without being overwhelming. The food was surprisingly great and definitely exceeded expectations for a bar spot. If you’re looking for a casual place to hang out, play pool, grab drinks, and enjoy good food, this is a solid choice.“

“Love this shit hole!! Strong drinks, fearless bartenders, and people that have come here for many years. I do miss the infamous, and since retired...MISS LIL!!! WHO DIDN'T LOVE HER??? She was one tough cookie! Kim makes a good drink and fantastic jello shots. All kinds of flavors!! This place is one of the well known dive bars in the map. It's a must go.“

“Great little local spot, got a bit crowded. Drinks were good, but service could be slow at times because there was only one bartender. They have two pool tables but only one is fully usable. I would recommend if you are looking to hangout with friends and meet some cool, friendly locals. Definitely will visit again next time I'm in town.“

“Too many people who are locals & are very toxic. Had to switch bars because they tried to fight me. On top with the bartenders who all they do is gossip. I tried to make it my go to bar, but nad service. Horrible. Dont waste your time trust me you will feel the same atmosphere.Never coming back.“

“My boyfriend and I love kittys!! We discovered it about a month ago even tho we’ve lived in the area for years and now we are here every week. Cheap drinks, 8 pool tables (50 cent games) and the staff is always friendly. Usually quiet in here even on weekend nights. Would love to see them get more business (even if that means waiting for a pool table)“

“my fiance and I popped in after lunch for his bday drink..nice quiet place for lunch but had lunch already,didn't know this place served lunch but they do and menu looks delicious, my fiance had his drinks i ordered mocktails (NA) and bartender even gave him a happy birthday jello shot cupcake...very awesome don't know how to spell maer or her name but day bartender on 10/13/25 was a good bartender and we definitely will return. .thank you for a good afternoon bday special“
