Checo's Taco Shop is a fantastic, family-owned hole in the wall spot near old town with amazing, authentic, and delicious food. The menu includes satisfying carnitas, Pollo asado, shredded beef, carne asada, birria, chicken, and fish tacos and burritos. The California burrito, Checo’s burrito, fantastic breakfast burrito, frijoles and cheese burrito, and great sope are all very good. The food is fast, fresh, and massive with good prices. The sauces and salsas are excellent with several choices. There is a taco Tuesday option. The place can be busy with a possible wait, but it offers fast, wonderful service. The ambiance is basic and not much to look at inside, but the food is one hundred percent worth it.
