“We are used to being spoiled with great French bakeries in Canada. This place does not disappoint! The creativity is amazing, starting with the pumpkin pie spice croissant! We came at the end of the day and bought a baguette - but the rumor is that the bread sells out by 9 in the morning so get their early! We went home and had toasted slices of baguette with fontina cheese and pickled red onions - a great dinner for a cold night. We’ll be back before 9 AM next time!“

“My husband and I had time to kill because our flight to Chicago kept being delayed so we looked up a bakery we tried once before in Phoenix but it was closed. I searched 'macarons' and this place popped up. It was out of the way and closing in less than an hour so we weren't sure what would even be left on the shelf. We decided to try anyway and are so happy we did! There were still plenty of options to choose from and the prices were standard for a macaron. The flavor options are so fun! It was hard to choose but we narrowed it down to 5 flavors: good humor strawberry shortcake, fruity pebbles, French fry milkshake, drumstick and snickerdoodle.The strawberry good humor may be my second favorite outside of the Mickey raspberry macaron at Disneyland. The buttercream was just the right amount of sweet and the flavor was on point. We also loved the snickerdoodle which reminded me of a Taco Bell cinnamon twist with a cream filling. The sweetness was also very well balanced in this one. The drumstick was also very good, tasted just like a drumstick. I was actually impressed how spot on the flavor was. This was was just a little too sweet for me but I know my kids would be a huge fan. The fruity pebble was okay, probably not something I'd buy again but definitely okay. The French fry milk shake was my least favorite and was just kind of boring compared to the others. They nailed it with the salty/chocolate flavor but it felt kind of boring while eating it.Definitely recommend stopping by and most certainly will be coming back again!“

“Went to Al Hamra today with a group of 8 and it was clean, spacious and had an amazing vibe. The food was to die for. We had the lamb dish, chicken Tikka masala, butter naan, ginger chicken and amazing samosas. The food was exquisite and the customer service was above and beyond. My favorite was their tea at the end of the night. It's a half milk and half tea combination and it was delicious. The owner made us feel so welcome and he was so hospitable. “Great dinner on the patio, they had heaters so we were comfortable on a chilly evening. The bartender served a perfect dirty martini it was the best I've had in a long time. I enjoyed the octopus appetizer. A huge portion, three large tentacles, delicious with a romesco sauce and small potatoes. My friends enjoyed the truffle fries which were hot and crispy. They split the burger which was very flavorful, cooked perfectly, and a homemade bun. I had the pomodoro pasta which was good but a tad dry. The chocolate torte was not too sweet and very chocolaty we loved all the food. The ambiance on the patio feels very quiet and secluded. Our server was also very good. Attentive at the right times and let us enjoy our meal without much interruption. I also left my jacket on the back of the chair and they kept it at host stand when I called the next day. I was impressed from start to finish with our experience and I'll definitely be returning.“

The deliverer was less than average on customer service, to be polite. I had chalked it up to busy kitchens and everyone is entitled to a bad day. The following day I received a voice message that made my day. An apology for the inconvenience and a credit for a future meal. That was nice, but the passion in his voice for his business, his product, it wasn’t a ‘courtesy’ call. This was a man with integrity wanting me to experience what he knows is good food. The plantain chips and guac are a must, would take those over tortilla chips any day. $70 for 3 people - decent for the area, but not a great value for counter order food. As a result, we frequently (such as this occasion) feel like our server ignores follow up on us in deference to tables ordering more expensive dishes. In truth, we spent over $200 for the two of us without alcohol or dessert which I think is an expensive dinner. Food was good and we enjoy the fact that we can get half serving of side dishes and try new things. In comparison to other high end steak houses that offer a smaller filet (8 and 12 ounce), Eddie V's takes the tack of only offering the 10 ounce filet. Perhaps it is a strategy to limit the steak consumption in a restaurant that is more focused on seafood but I think that a smaller filet would be of value.“
