Stopped here for lunch leaving Phoenix. Quick service, and great value.
Had out of town guests and we were looking for real Mexican food. What a great place to stumble into. The food and the service was amazing. Would definitely come back again.
My wife and I stopped here for lunch on our way from the airport to Tucson. She ordered the tamales and I got the cheese enchiladas, and we shared an order of chips and salsa. The enchiladas were so-so, just not that flavorful. The chips were good, and the salsa was very flavorful, but spicier than we initially thought. Our noses got to running fairly quickly! The restaurant primarily serves the local Mexican population and offers a genuine Mexican dining experience at very reasonable prices. The food quality is consistently good and authentic, with highlights including the delicious Guacamole, flavorful Hot Sauce, and fantastic Tortillas. Customers have enjoyed menu items such as the Chile Verde, Carne Asada Burrito, and Caldo de Res (Beef Soup), as well as the refreshing Horchata drink. The staff, though with limited English, is described as helpful and friendly. While the shared restrooms are located in the plaza area, the restaurant is clean. Overall, Del Yaqui is a must-try for those seeking authentic and high-quality Mexican cuisine.
