“I highly recommend it very clean comfortable atmosphere great personnel. The sushi chef Rico, was friendly, helpful, creative in suggesting ideas. I had a really good experience, i was there by myself yet had much company. I recommend it to anybody I can’t wait to go back probably as soon as next week. It is very affordable and really really good sushi I had the Fresh water Eeal roll and they made me a Crunchyroll with real Crab also enjoyed their sushi rice. They had really cold beer. It’s definitely a place I recommend with great music, oh my gosh great great music ask for Rico’s music. Lol“

The food is great, the prices are cheap, and most of all I love that the owners are waiting on you and cooking for you. “Took my now fiance on our first date and she loved it. She always gets the bulgogi fried rice and I always get the Dolsot bibimbap with a couple pieces of nigiri. The dolsot always comes out very quickly and always tastes exquisite. They use very tasty ingredients every time. The sushi always uses the freshest, best tasting fish cuts i’ve ever had.

By far my favorite place to get food out and my comfort food of choice. Will always recommend this place to friends and family!“

“Been craving a good ramen and decided to give this a place a try! WOW!!! I’m not kidding when I say this was the best ramen we have ever had! HANDS DOWN! First, the service was amazing! Ian went out of his way to make our first time there exceptional! Brought multiple sauces for us to use on our small plate starter, (mixed tempura) which was light, and delicious!! He went above and beyond to make our visit special. Service was fast but not rushed! I felt like I was at a 5 star establishment! Now back to this ramen!!! We got the Tonkostu ramen. It was thick and creamy and FLAVORFUL!! Wow. Meat was tender and everything was so yummy! My husband who normally says everything is “aight” said this was really good and definitely the best he’s had and we’ll absolutely be back! Although he ate all his noodles he still brought the left over broth home it was so good! Thank you Ian and Yutaka for such a wonderful experience and meal for our Friday date night! “This was our first time here and it was delicious A+++. The appetizers we got were the rock shrimp and the Gyoza. They were both fantastic. We also got the Alaska roll and Cherry Blossom roll. “My wife and I came here to eat for our anniversary. We got reservations for the Omakase ahead of time, and the team was essentially ready to go when we got there. You sit up at the bar where you can watch the chef make each sushi piece. He clearly has a passion for the craft, making fine tune adjustments so that each piece was presented nicely. The team factored in other guests dietary preferences, which you do not always see in omakase due to the set menu.

This review should realistically be a 4.5 stars, but I'd put them closer to the 5 than the 4 stars, so I'll give it to them here. For the value, I'm not sure you can find a better sushi and omakase here in Phoenix (at least from what we've tried so far). Each piece felt fresh, the drinks were good, and the hand roll was awesome.

There were two main reasons from my perspective that drop it that 0.5. First, for a 12 course meal, I still left a little hungry. This is probably a me thing and I should have and could have just asked for extra pieces at the end, but I decided not to. While it's a good value for the price and quality of the fish, I would have liked a few more pieces. Secondly, more of an ambience thing, the bar you sit at is rather small - room for only 6 people. While I think the goal was for it to be more intimate, to me, for some reason it just felt crowded. I'm not sure how to put exact words to it - don't get me wrong, We had ample eating area and I did not feel like the guests next to us were impinging on our space, but something just felt cramped. Like I said, probably a me thing. Piggybacking off my first point about leaving a little hungry, one reason I didn't order anything more at the end was because the next reservation was waiting outside already, and I did not want to impinge on their time and dining experience, so we left. I think I would recommend adding maybe an extra 30 minutes to the time slot or something to allow more time at the end to sit, chat, and relax.

Overall, my partner and I would come here again. It's good sushi, and even better value.“

“I don't give out 5 stars much on food, however, FMI made it happen with their food. I've been a customer for 6 months now and have a good understanding of this establishment.

The inside is clean, with a nice waitstaff. It can get busy so be patient if you go during busy hours.

“For me, personally, buffets are the way to go. For the average person, this experience would be more economical. You grab small plates and there is a price per plate. So, if you only eat a little, it's reasonably priced. I eat a lot, and I reached up a book of about $50, but it was worth every penny. I am finally traveling to Phoenix with them and look forward to eating here frequently during my stay.
