“AMAZING is the only word I need to describe the food at Wong's ! We arrived at about 5pm on a Sunday evening. The place was packed and we waited about a half hour to seat our party of 7. Service started out a little bit slow. But once we placed our order and the food started coming out the service was spot on. We ordered the BBQ pork, Pork Fried Rice, Chicken Lo-mein, Broccoli Beef, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Kung Pao chicken and mixed vegetables. We had enough food to feed the 3 of us at our table with enough leftovers for the next day for all 3 of us. The food was DELICIOUS ! Possibly the best Chinese food I have eaten. Service was polite and attentive without being intrusive. The only dish we wouldn't order again is the BBQ pork. It wasn't the usual cold pork slices with the hot mustard and ketchup. It was hot with a brown gravy on it. It was okay but not good enough for US to order again. I definitely recommend Wong's if you are looking for fantastic Chinese food !“

I have also heard from everyone in this area that this is one of the best "hole in the wall" places in South Central Phoenix. One thing that honestly shocked me was how much the food was. Their official site has their prices as literally HALF or LESS than their current prices. I really hope the owners will update the prices online. Second, all their food is wonderful. You get a lot of good per plate. What I got, my family of 5 probably ate 20 percent of it. We definitely have a lot of leftovers. We spent a little over $100 for all the food shown. It was about a 20 minute wait or so for the food. The service was great, employees were kind. I will definitely be coming back here again!“

Main disappointment was being given a happy hour menu upon arrival only to be told it did not apply to weekends. Had to ask for the nominal discount for two rather expensive appetizers, which we felt should have been extended without any hassle — if anyone's fault it was management for lack of training. The hostess didn't know because she was new. Again, management could have done better, especially to simply make good on the honest error. All in all, very nice atmosphere and menu. We'll return.“

Our expectations were exceeded by the service, the portions, and the fair price everything was offered at. the wife ordered sweet and sour chicken and I got General Tso's chicken, her combo came with a crab rangoon, rice, an eggroll, and egg drop soup, I tried a bite of each and all of them were cooked perfectly, delicious, and piping hot. My general Tso's was presented with rice and while I found it a little mild, it was very well crafted and my wife liked the bite she tried as well. You don't know this about my wife and would not know it looking at me but she is VERY picky but she has decided she wants to return because she enjoyed the food so much. The dinner combination came with our choice of entrée from the selections, chicken lo mein, fried rice, two crab puffs, and an egg-roll. This is casual, quick, and pick from the conveyer belt sushi. They do have some made to order choices as well. Skip dessert, though.
