Mr. Wong is a Chinese takeout spot known for its delicious food and quick service. The atmosphere is minimal, but the place is always clean, and the staff is friendly. Customers recommend trying the house fried rice and shrimp fried rice, as well as the exceptional Egg drop soup. Located near a Circle K for convenience, this hole-in-the-wall restaurant is a hidden gem for fast-food Chinese cuisine.
Recent reviews highlight the high quality of dishes like General Tao chicken and sesame chicken, which are described as "absolute legends" with lots of flavor. The food is served hot, fresh, and is very addictive, making customers eager to return quickly. Service is friendly, with staff offering menus without pressure and honoring coupons. The wait time is about 15 minutes, and the restaurant offers chairs for customers waiting for takeout.
The menu includes combos with two entrees, egg drop soup, spring roll, and fried rice, with generous portions that are often enough for one person. Recommended entrees include teriyaki chicken and broccoli chicken, while orange chicken and sesame chicken are also good options. The fried items are especially praised, and the soup, though plain-looking, is well seasoned. Spring rolls are okay, and crab wontons are very sweet. The chili oil isn’t spicy, and customers wish for a spicy sauce on the side. Only canned sodas are available, so customers may need to bring water. Overall, the food is fresh with good flavor, though the rice isn’t as highly rated.
Generous portions and good flavor on the entrees make it a popular spot, though some find it not very kid-friendly. The restaurant offers quick service and clean surroundings, making it a convenient choice for fast Chinese takeout.
