“Our experience at "Momma's Soul: Fish and Chicken" was exceptional! We indulged in their famous shrimps, both fried and tossed in Buffalo sauce, and they were absolutely delicious - perfectly cooked with just the right amount of sauce. Alongside, we tried the fried okra and mac n cheese, and even though I'm not usually a fan of mac n cheese, I must admit theirs was outstanding! The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself had a spacious and clean ambiance. As it's soul food, expect a bit of a wait, but trust me, it's well worth it. If you're pressed for time, there's always McDonald's, but for a truly satisfying meal, "Momma's Soul" is the place to be.“
“I finally had a chance to try it! I went in with great anticipation aaaaand , well... I will say be prepared to wait. When we got there, there was no line but we still waited quite a bit for our food. If there is one thing I had that I say is a must try it's the Elote Fries ... delicious and my friend regretted not ordering them lol The wings could have been crispier for my taste but I believe you can request that. The one flavor I had that I can't remember (sorry) was bomb. I think it's the honey hot garlic ranch but don't hold me. I also tried strawberry hot , those were just ok. I didn't really taste strawberry and they were not spicy. I loved their ranch sauce. My only "complaint" is that they over charged me for some sauces and I don't really get that mistake because again it wasn't super busy but I would try them again for sure.“

Between three people we split 1) Simple caesar: as it states, it was your standard caesar. good portion size enough to feed 3 for a small appetizer salad 2) Sweet potato and brussel sprout pizza: LOVED this pizza. I appreciate how doughbird has such unique pies that you don't see elsewhere and they do them well. The roasted hearty vegetables paired super well with the herby ricotta, which added some brightness and soft texture. Would get this pizza again 3) Half rotisserie chicken, lemon garlic sauce and crinkle fries: Chicken had great flavor, nice crispy skin-quality rotisserie chicken. Got the lemon garlic dipping sauce which is delicious. It's essentially a lemon garlic butter which is so savory delicious with the chicken. My one complaint is that they would give you more sauce. The items listed above were a good amount of food for 3 people, had us full but not overly stuffed.“

“My husband and I love frybread and we've been to many in the valley but are on the hunt to try more! We checked JJs out tonight and we were both happy with our experience! This is definitely a small hole in the wall type place. The lady working there was incredibly nice and helpful to us! My husband got plain frybread with cheese on it and I got a vegetarian Navajo taco. I loved all the toppings on my taco and the frybread was incredibly fresh and fluffy. We also got fries and churros. The fries were good but had some sort of orange powder on them? I dipped them in the chipotle sauce they had which was good. I think the powder may have been a cheese powder. The churros were yummy, we got chocolate to dip them in and they were filled with cream. Our total was not outrageous for the amount of food we got. Glad we checked it out!“

“4.5 stars imo. I really like the ambience and style here. I ordered an al pastor burrito and asada taco. The meat was good. The burrito seemed like 2 ingredients. Meat and beans. Interesting choices, could have had more variety like beans rice guac and meat. They do have way more sides in the salad bar salsa area but adding stuff after it's rolled isn't great for burritos imo.The asada meat was tender. Both green and red salsas were good. My real gripe is "al pastor" is meat shaved of a big block of meat that rotates on a stick. In this case is seems like it's a "quick" version where they dice up some ham and cook and season it. Not bad but not true crispy delightful al pastor. Many az restaurants do this and I have almost entirely switched to asada because of it. I did like the presentation, value for money and convenient location. I just can't rate your restaurant as 5 stars without real al pastor. Even with a carniceria a few feet away.
