While my prior visits have been nothing short of spectacular, last night's order ended very peculiarly.

We ordered crab puffs (X2), honey chicken, curry chicken, shrimp with lobster sauce, and fried rice.

No issues with the puffs, honey chicken, or curry chicken. However, I identified two issues where one we are still encountering as a family.

At one point while eating the fried rice, one of my bites I felt a very crunchy portion. So crunchy, I thought I broke a tooth. Thankfully, I was able to account for my teeth. But I could not find what it was that caused the situation to begin with. Sadly, I was then too paranoid to eat more of the rice.

Shrimp with lobster sauce was a newer item we had picked. Three of us are now dealing with various types of stomach aches. For the three that are dealing with the aches, they were the only three that ate the shrimp dish (my wife, my oldest son, and myself). It has been a rather miserable day, unfortunately.

I had to adjust the rating from a 5 to a 4. Like I said, we've been to Ginger Garden in the past, and no complaints. The rice matter may be a serious outlier, but I can't ignore it given I was legit worried about a broken tooth (maybe it was a super fried rice kernel). But the stomach aches are another item that we can't overlook either. It may be the shrimp or sauce was spoiled, and the restaurant wasn't aware. However, it had a significant impact on our visit.

When I return, I'll make any adjustments to the overall rating. I hope it goes back to the five star rating we've had in the past.“

“Went for my birthday because I can eat Chinese food anytime! I love it! My wife, not so much. We haven’t been able to find any good Chinese food around here. When we do, it’s either too far away or very inconsistent. We went here because of other reviews and their health inspections have been good with ZERO violations. That means a lot these days!
It also means a lot when you have great staff, everyone was very nice and attentive.
We had the Family style and one person had the sizzling soup. We had.BBQ pork as an additional appetizer. The flavor was good but several of the slices were dried out. Kung Pao chicken was a little under spiced (could use more heat). Almond chicken was good, orange chicken good flavor finally Sesame chicken also good. On both of the breaded chicken dishes we like the bundles to retain some crunch with the sauce added instead of fully coating the chicken bits. The rice was underwhelming, even plain fried rice should have a few vegetables and maybe egg added. Each person gets a fried roll and a single fried shrimp, both had nice flavoring One more shrimp for each on the family orders would be nice. Also spicy mustard and red sauce was very good. All of the being said, Yao has become the current leader in our search for local Chinese restaurant we can call home.“

“This family restaurant is as good as it gets. Legit, authentic Chinese food. The first restaurant Stateside to match the food that I remember from when I lived in China. The owner greets you with a smile and the food is so good that you will be talking about it to your friends. Highly recommended!“

“This has been my wife's favorite Asian restaurant since childhood. I was more a fan of Great Wall, but have grown to love Asian City for it's unique Orange Chicken that doesn't disappoint! The portion sizes make it worth it, as well!“

“The food here is great! I did delivery and they were prompt and friendly! I ordered kung pao shrimp. The rice was perfect. The veggies were cooked just enough to retain their crispness and flavor. -Sizzling Rice Soup - chicken,shrimp, vegetables. Very tasty and fresh. The broth is delicious
-Orange Chicken - so much better than Panda! Juicy and flavorful. The sauce isn't sickly sweet, and just the right amount of heat
Honey Glaze Walnut Shrimp- Star of the show! Big Shrimp, generous portions, delicious sauce, the walnuts are a good contrast with the Shrimp.
- Cashew Shrimp - Came with fresh broccoli. The shrimp are big and juicy, with really good sauce.
I've also previously had the Mapo Tofu, and the Fried rice with chinese sausage. The tofu is unbelievably silky and smooth. The brown sauce is savory and flavorful without being overpowering. The fried rice is good, but the Chinese sausage makes it special.“

Once you ask, they’re happy to help. I don’t quite know why, but I feel like they’re trying to save money by not giving you the basic utensils to eat takeout unless explicitly asked for.

The chicken was the crispiest chicken ever and that is what I was searching for. I can't want to come back and try something else.“

“I had an appointment in Gilbert and I was starving. I pulled into this plaza and saw Wild Ginger. I stopped in to do a take out order. I saw the pan fried noodles. ordered and swallowed the meal 😋. I added it to my Google maps to return so that I could dine in next time I was in the area. It took me several months to return but it was worth driving 32 miles to eat here along with some great friends. It's cozy and romantic and decor is nice. The servers need to be more friendly and engaging. I did like the consistency of the food from my first impression. We ordered pan fried noodles, Singapore noodles, pineapple fried rice and fried tofu for dessert. No disappointments.“

“Panda express never disappoints. This location is great because they have a drive thru and the drive thru has two lines. The workers here are nice and friendly. The drive thru went quickly and my food was still hot. Sometimes the orange chicken is too spicy but it is just right at this location! It is right off the freeway and usually doesn't have a lot of traffic!“

“I was shocked at how kind the staff were less than an hour before closing. Abi asked us how we’re doing (and seemed like she actually meant it), and when I asked if they had any shrimp left, I planned to say it was fine if they didn’t. Abi immediately politely asked another staff member to make fresh shrimp just for us, and the staff was talking and joking around while they prepared the food and had good vibes all around.
