“All the positive reviews are so true! Tried out this establishment for the first time. Alondra was the most attentive server. Friendly and kind. Food was delicious! They give you a bit of the fish broth to drink at the beginning to get your taste buds going! For appetizers we started off with oysters and fish ceviche from the happy hour menu. Then my hubby had the steak and bites, daughter had the prime rib, and I had the lobster risotto. All so good! The oysters were huge and very fresh! A definite must-try!“

Meagan was perfect as a server , meal finished with a complimentary Birthday key lime pie. we will be back!“

While my prior visits have been nothing short of spectacular, last night's order ended very peculiarly.

We ordered crab puffs (X2), honey chicken, curry chicken, shrimp with lobster sauce, and fried rice.

No issues with the puffs, honey chicken, or curry chicken. However, I identified two issues where one we are still encountering as a family.

At one point while eating the fried rice, one of my bites I felt a very crunchy portion. So crunchy, I thought I broke a tooth. Thankfully, I was able to account for my teeth. But I could not find what it was that caused the situation to begin with. Sadly, I was then too paranoid to eat more of the rice.

Shrimp with lobster sauce was a newer item we had picked. Three of us are now dealing with various types of stomach aches. For the three that are dealing with the aches, they were the only three that ate the shrimp dish (my wife, my oldest son, and myself). It has been a rather miserable day, unfortunately.

I had to adjust the rating from a 5 to a 4. Like I said, we've been to Ginger Garden in the past, and no complaints. The rice matter may be a serious outlier, but I can't ignore it given I was legit worried about a broken tooth (maybe it was a super fried rice kernel). But the stomach aches are another item that we can't overlook either. It may be the shrimp or sauce was spoiled, and the restaurant wasn't aware. However, it had a significant impact on our visit.

When I return, I'll make any adjustments to the overall rating. I hope it goes back to the five star rating we've had in the past.“

“I have been to sushiya a handful of times and I will say that I have not had a sushi place that I enjoy so much in Arizona in terms of taste. I have tried a lot of stuff from their menu (I try to try something different or new everytime) and I am surprised at how they never miss everytime!! I would say Sushiya has some of the freshest fish and tastiest rolls of all time. Even their kitchen selection is delicious.
I definitely recommend trying their specialty rolls if you aren’t a picky eater, my favorites have to be the:
Amberjack roll, Code Blue roll, Jalapeno Roll, Tsunami Roll

If you just like basic sushi, their quality is great so even the basics like salmon nigiri or California rolls are good.

If you don’t like sushi, they have plenty of appetizers and lunch/dinner entrees to choose from!
My favorites are the honey chicken and chicken katsu. Their proportions are pretty big too so it’s really worth it.
I DEFINITELY recommend their honey chicken it’s so addicting. Kind of similar to an orange chicken if you had to compare it to something.

They also have such a great selection of Japanese Sake and beers!

Lastly, I really recommend that you go on a weekday and not on the weekends. It tends to get really busy all at once on weekends and service can get really slow and not as attentive just because it is a small business and there are so many customers.

“Walking in it seems weird with children and lots of fish aquariums. The fish take up 1/3 of the floor space of the dinning room. The food though just unexpectedly some of the best Thai I think my wife and I have eaten. It was a complete surprise huge portions and we were blown away. You got to try it WOW!“

“Absolutely loved this place. The highlight for me was the Shrimp Pan Fried Noodle. The portion size was massive. I ate a ton and it barely looked like I touched it, so the value for the money is incredible.

The restaurant itself has that authentic Asian-owned vibe both inside and out, which I personally love. You can tell right away the food is going to be legit, and it definitely delivered.

I’ve seen some of the other reviews, and honestly it feels like some people came in with the wrong expectations. If you come in open-minded and ready for real, hearty portions and authentic flavors, you’re going to enjoy it.
