Let me cut right to the chase: delicious, flavorful, and beautifully presented Afghan cuisine. This is a cozy family operation: friendly and attentive service from the son, with his parents cooking up their family recipes in the back. As if all that weren't enough, the portions are very generous. Try the Mantoo (dumplings in a perfectly-seasoned meat sauce, topped with tangy yogurt and mint) — pictured below.
Loved our experience at Khyber Halal. The staff were friendly, and frequently checked on us during our meal. The food was AMAZING—very juicy, tender, and flavorful. We tried the garlic naan, chicken boti, and qabuli palau along with mango lassi and dogh. We were really impressed and definitely coming back next time in Phoenix.
The best chicken kebab I’ve ever had! Their bread was amazing and brought back memories of Afghanistan. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking to try authentic halal Afghan, Pakistani, or Indian food.
