Knead Luv Gluten Free Bakery & Café

Everything was delicious! The deep dish pizza was amazing! It takes awhile to get your food, but after waiting years for good gluten free options, it was so good we went twice. Our favorites were the blueberry muffins, strawberry cake, pizza (we tried three types), and the croissants. Highly recommend.

Amazing pastries. Chocolate croissant was amazing, as was the regular croissant. Omelets were okay, breakfast potatoes, very good. Such a rare find for gluten free baked goods!

The strawberry scones were great and I really liked the lemon blueberry scones as well. The owner was very nice over the phone and had made sure to have my order made fresh before they closed as I was coming from Chandler late in the afternoon. Great service and will be back again to try more on the menu.

I can’t recommend this enough or more. The pastries, especially the croissants are absolutely incredible. Flaky which is not easy to do for gf. Such a cute, relaxing environment also - I will be spending so much time and money here!

It was too busy at Butters for brunch, so we went across the parking lot to Knead Luv. I had the avocado toast, with the egg. The avocado toast included arugula and balsamic glaze. The meal came with potatoes and fruit. Very fresh ingredients--the pineapple was exceptional. I appreciate eating at places like this that have healthy options with good portion sizes--where I feel good after eating there. High recommend.

The first few times I visited this bakery I loved it! The service was great (served by the owner) and there were so many options! Since then, the last 2 visits were average at best. Service was not good, prices were way too high for the taste & portions. We were not impressed by the gritty taste of out treats.

Stopped by to check the place out.
- The young woman seemed to be trying her best but I don’t think she/the employees are being trained well.
- I asked her simple questions and she didn’t know the answers to them (what type of frosting is on the strawberry cake, etc.) Some man comes out to try and help her and says “I don’t know let me try it” and uses a knife to try the frosting and says “hmm it tastes like it could be whipped frosting or buttercream”. At a BAKERY, you should be able to provide a DEFINITE answer to these types of questions without relying on taste testing samples in front of a customer. Especially being a bakery that tailors to individuals with perhaps a dietary intolerance. There should be a binder with recipes that the employee at the front can reference if they need to answer these questions.
- Young woman offered to sell me scraps of a cinnamon role that did not even resemble a cinnamon role at a discounted price. Employees should be taught the limits at which it’s appropriate to sell leftover goods. They should not be selling what look like leftover bites of someone else’s food.
- I pull out $20 to pay and she opens the cash register and says oh I guess we don’t have any bills and says “can you pay with something else”. What kind of food place does not have ANY cash in the register? OR put up a sign that says “Sorry NO CASH” so we know ahead of time.
- 2 stars instead of 1 for the terrible experience/service, since GF blueberry muffin I got was eventually fine

- I was NOT offered sample of cake. He tasted it in front of me. I even suggested “can I just try it” and got no response.
- The cinnamon roll was NOT offered complimentary to me. She said “I can sell it to you at a discount.”

I dropped in for takeout pastries after a movie. Cinnamon rolls & croissant. They are delicious! They have attentive staff at their location. Yumm

This was a complete disappointment. The cake was so dry it didn't even cut as a slice. The texture and frosting was off too. For an 8inch cake we were charged $85 dollars. I am bummed and reached out. I did get a response but was unable to get in by the closing time of 4pm as I work u til then daily and start work prior to their opening time. I had written it off as trying to support local business. This isn't the kind of gf cake that can replace regular cake. Make sure to sample prior to purchase.

When another local gluten-free bakery fell through last minute in a cake I needed for my husband’s birthday that was three days away, I found Knead Luv via Google search. I called and they were willing to help me! I was so grateful as there aren’t many bakeries in Phoenix area that provide options for folks with food allergies. I appreciated so much that the woman on the line addressed that they could help me with a cake, although she was busy with another order at the time of my call. She was kind in telling me she would call me back in 15mins to get the details of my order placed. She did call back and assisted me with the order, offering so many cake flavors and options, I was so surprised and thrilled! I went with a Chantilly fruit cake big enough to feed 15-20 people (single layer). I was so grateful to had found a place that was willing to serve and come through despite the late notice. On the day of pick up, I walked up and into Knead Luv and immediately knew it was meant to be when I saw the 1 John 4:16 verse on the door! Inside was beautifully decorated that I briefly forgot about going straight to the desk for my cake order. I was captured in wanting to look around and see all their options of pastries and goodies! I couldn’t believe my eyes! As a person who recently found out that they can never go back to eating gluten and very limited amounts of dairy, I didn’t know if I would ever have cake or other kinds of pastries (that actually taste good and not like a dog treat or cardboard) again. Ryan was eager to help me and brought my cake out with smiles and interest in knowing if I liked how it was decorated. He was so sweet and kind! The cake looked sooo much better than I expected! I felt like I had received a cake that was just as normal as I had before knowing my sensitivities, not one that screams “this all that can be done food allergies”. He asked questions on how I planned to store it, if I was going straight home or making other stops on the way home, and when the actually party was. I loved that because when you’re thinking of so many things in planning a party, you forget to ask questions or the right questions sometimes. His help, helped to preserve the cake for the party which was the following day. On the big day, everyone enjoyed the cake even those who doesn’t have food sensitivities! They expressed that they could tell the difference between a gluten and gluten free cake as the texture is different and honestly that’s expected. However, they kept coming back for seconds and taking some home, so I would say even with the “difference” they pointed out, they sure did love it! Haha! I can’t wait for my husband and I to return to try Knead Luv’s food as the menu seemed to have so many good options that we haven’t been able to have at other restaurants. I truly hope this establishments flourishes in business because places that are dedicated to serving others, food allergies or not is so kneaded .

I decided to try the cinnamon roll and a blueberry upside pound cake to get a full experience of the bakery options. I usually get the fluffy GF cinnamon roll at Jewels Gluten Free Cafe and Bakery but I wasn’t around there. I spent $10 on the cinnamon roll and I was disappointed, it was hard (I had to use silverware) on the outside and there was no fluffiness and about half the size of the $7 GF cinnamon roll at jewels. I’m not sure if it was bc it was the end of the day. My kids aren’t picky so I gave it to them, they ate it but one of them said “yeah that totally tastes GF, it’s just hard”

The women who served quoted me a different price for the 2 blueberry pastries (ended up being $10 each) and when I went to pay it was $30+. I didn’t want to say anything since I don’t think I’ll be back. The blueberry pastry was good, hence the 2 stars.

Go to Jewels In Arcadia (44th street andThomas) they have the fluffiest, biggest GF cinnamon rolls that are gooey and not too sweet.

Love this place so so much! The birria tacos are the best! They’re not greasy, have great flavor, and have the perfect amount of cheese and meat. The bakery is amazing too! It’s so nice going to a place where there’s gluten free options but you don’t need to sacrifice the taste or quality. I recommend this place to everyone, gluten free or not.
