Lukes's is a must visit place to eat in a town with dozens of chain choices and hundreds of unique restaurants to choose from this one is old school cool that has been doing the same thing the same way for more than 50 years. The quality is top notch and the portions will bust a gut. When you are tired of the same old thing just a little different, this is where you go. When I am away I look forward to the next visit when I can return.
As a Chicago native and transplant to Arizona, I genuinely appreciate the food and quality that Luke's provides. Portillo's is a fine option and there are several in the valley, but Luke's feels that much more authentic and even my wife says it tastes better.

Atmosphere, it's a sandwich shop. Adequate.
Service, adequate. Probably staffed by the same kitchen staff or same owner for a long time. It shows in the vibe.
