The French toast was so dry and tough you could hardly cut through it with a butter knife. The center of the slices were completely dry. The sourdough was quite sour (does not note on the menu that they use sourdough bread). They were liberal with butter, which was nice, and they serve real maple syrup. I ordered a side of fresh seasonal fruit for $5.99. The fruit consisted of raw pear slices, mushy bananas and mushy purple grapes (none of which are seasonal for August in Phoenix).
Our servermakes our stop extra special with his warm smile, friendly service and genuine kindness that made usfeel truly welcomed and appreciated. The food was great! My husband loves his Belgian-style waffle with bacon.
MBB is usually my favorite breakfast place but my first visit to this location was not great. Placed a pickup order and the homefries were flavorless and not cooked through. My griddlecake was also undercooked. Disappointing since it was nearly empty and not busy at all, and I will not be returning as I can't imagine how much worse the quality would be during breakfast rush.
