Would give zero if I could. So pretentious and definitely not the vibe unless you want to sit cramped shoulder to shoulder with strangers or sit three to a loveseat while plenty of empty chairs available. On top of that they have major construction happening and it’s like a maze trying to find and they act like they’re such a gem worth the hike. If you bring a date here she will likely not like you for such poor venue taste alone

The ambiance of this place really is something special. The lounge is so comfortable and intimate, yet so sophisticated. The lighting is extremely dim and allows for intimate conversations, making it very relaxed and inviting. The service was great and the finishing touches on the drinks were the cherry on top of a great experience.

I was a fan of MercBar, but my last two encounters gave me the impression that it’s now (or maybe has always been) a racist establishment. I don’t throw that word around lightly. I’d like to give the benefit of doubt and say the doorman is simply rude and disrespectful. But I can’t deny what my friends and I experienced in comparison to others who were present. After the second encounter, I stopped going. However, I figured I should make others aware.

Working with John to make the reservation was flawless. Even with multiple changes they were very accommodating. I spoke to Ray on the phone and he was very nice. When we arrived to the bar the young person at the front door stopped a member of my group stating that he didn't match dress code. I don't agree and please refer to other reviews on that. When I stated we had reservations and I had placed a down payment he said he would speak to someone. He came out in 2 seconds and said it was fine. (The person was dressed appropriately). The staff inside were amazing the ladies were polite and treated us well. I am dropping a star because I believe the guy at the front door did not want to let us in based on other reasons. The drinks were amazing!!

The bar service is top notch. It always has a good vibe with a mix of locals and tourists. One of the better Old Fashions in the area.

Beautiful hidden gem. Stumbled upon this little cozy spot on accident, and it was perfect. Great knowledgeable bartender and top shelf drinks. Even got samples of drinks.The decor is so cozy and intimate.I will visit it again!

I try not to leave bad reviews if I can help it, but this one is warranted. I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with this supposedly high-end bar and I feel compelled to share that experience. From the moment I walked through the door, I sensed an unwelcoming atmosphere. My friends were there already, so I walked over to the table. The waiter was fine. He asked what I would like to drink and was pleasant. The problem I have here is with the manager that very rudely decided to share with me that hats weren't allowed inside of the bar. His attitude was very rude and condescending towards me, and I honestly wanted to leave immediately. This was after 20 minutes of sitting and enjoying my friends. I feel that he could have introduced himself to the table and explained the dress code to us, being that it was our first time in. I did decide to close out and not leave a tip due to the lack of service and feeling targeted by management. To add insult to injury, Merc Bar took it upon themselves to add a tip to the ticket after I had closed out. I didn't know a tip was added until the charge was updated on my bank statement 2 days later. I then called Merc Bar and was greeted very rudely on the phone by, Ray, I assume this is the same member of management that we encountered on the initial night. He was very unprofessional on the phone and I was just informing him that they decided to tip themselves. Ray told me that this was not the character of their establishment and decided to raise his voice with me and attempt to argue over the phone. We ended the call with him saying I would receive an email following up about the additional tip added. That was 7 days ago and I have not heard anything so far. I said all of that to say, I would steer clear of this place. They seem to discriminate against certain people and enforce the dress code when they feel it's convenient for them. If management would like to follow up with that email and my FULL REFUND. I would greatly appreciate it.

Place was a little too dark inside with the lighting and difficult to find. There’s a lot of new construction going on in this small plaza. The bartender was a little slow on drinks as well, they don’t serve any food here either. It’s a little pricey too for average drinks.

Such a fun vibe! Great place for a chill night when you still want to go out and have a great cocktail. Their espresso martini is amazing and their mocktails are also so good!! Our server Belle was great- so sweet and genuine. I'll definitely be back. Speakeasy vibes with cozy seating

This place hits everything you're looking for if you like a dark, quieter place to relax and enjoy yourself! They validate parking and are open in the mornings now :) I haven't tried their drinks or food yet but I'm sure it's delicious! Service has always been on par with the vibe :)
