It far exceeded my expectations. Everything about this restaurant is perfect, charming little bistro atmosphere , delicious food --- favorite were the pork short ribs .. we had to get a second order! and Ulyses our server was on top of it. I can't recommend Mixela enough. Fantastic.
Excellent food. Imaginative and extremely well executed with quality ingredients. Service is very helpful. As far as drinks its beer, wine and Mezcal, not a full bar. Parking lot is very tight with very few spots. That would be the only negative for this restaurant.
Mixela is a gem in Midtown Phoenix. The concept of globally inspired small plates works beautifully, and every dish we tried was packed with flavor, creativity, and attention to detail.
The crudos were exceptionally fresh, the tapas-style plates made it easy to share and sample a variety of flavors, and the presentation was outstanding without feeling overdone. Chef Gian Franco Brugaletta has created a menu that feels sophisticated, yet approachable.
