Haven’t worked in Phoenix in over a dozen years, but was stoked this place was still around and as good as I remembered. Great selection of subs, a few salad choices, and a couple of soup choices daily.

Food is great, staff is awesome, and the service is fast (subs are usually made and out a minute or two after you finish paying.

I come here for lunch at least once a week when I’m in town.

We ordered delivery from the American Legion Post 1. The 3rd party delivery said it was delivered. We walked the entire building and no food found. We called the shop and the owner answered (Bill). We explained the situation. Not only did he make it right, he personally delivered it. He stayed for several minutes and chatted. What an awesome interaction. A really great person and the sandwiches are 5 star.

The absolutely best soup and subs. I have never tasted better chicken and dumpling soup. I can’t make it here because I work in North Phoenix. My husband picks it up to bring home. Even when I have eaten a sub hours later the bread is still good. The soup! Oh my gosh! It’s not some junk that gets shipped in a plastic bag and dumped in a pot. They make it with love. Eat here, you won’t be sad about it.
