Zach did a great job taking care of us. My wife and I very much enjoyed the 4 course prix fixe offering, with wine pairings. Tomato crudo/polenta with chorizo, whole Seabream roasted to perfection, and then flank steak with roasted japanese sweet potato. Hard to pick favorites among it all. Then, of course we added dessert - an incredible honey-crunch flan. We have eaten at Pa'La - 24th street before and it has always been excellent. As we understand it, a bit less energetic...
Food was great! Small space. So if its too hot outside, they do have patio seating; consider making a reservation, though there were only 2 groups (a twosome and another 4 top) there on a Tuesday we could not choose our own seats. at 7pm. No place for a purse unless you grab a chair from another table.
You come to Pa'la and you're quikcly reminded that most restaurants, no matter how nice, are just serving ingredients that were all delivered on the same Sysco truck.
The food and service here are outsanting. We each had the 4-course tasting menu with the wine pairings and over the course of the meal were brought plate after plate of delicious items, all clearly created with care and pride.
