If you’re craving Chinese food or just really need a solid carb fix, this Panda Express is a lifesaver. It’s one of the few places in the airport where you can actually get a decent bowl of rice or noodles rather than just sandwiches and burgers. It’s located in Terminal 4 (near Gate A8), so it’s a great 'comfort food' stop if you’re flying American or Southwest. Quick service, and the food was fresh despite how busy the terminal was.
As I sit at gate A7 preparing to board, with the food coma from this salt bomb settling in nicely, the repair crew outside putting the engine back together (correctly, I hope), I opened my fortune cookie to find no fortune inside its delicate, golden shell.
This is an omen, of some sort, I’m sure of it. Whether it’s good or bad, ending with me on a beach in Maui or as shark bait in the middle of the ocean, remains to be seen.
