Good stop for a quick bite to eat between seeing the animals.
all the food is pretty expensive, but service was quick and the interior of the eating area is decorated well.

Savanna Grill at Phoenix Zoo offers a unique experience with camel rides and the option to enjoy a margarita while exploring the zoo. Visitors appreciate the improved parking situation, with wider spaces and even electric vehicle parking. The restaurant is part of a large zoo that can take around 4 hours to fully explore. Guests recommend trying the Nathan's hot dog with chips despite the slightly higher prices. The zoo features a variety of engaging exhibits and animals, including giraffes, otters, and groundhogs, which are often active and adorable. The grounds are well maintained, and the animals seem healthy and well cared for, creating a pleasant environment. Families find the zoo perfect for outings, with attractions for children and relaxing areas for parents. Bringing a stroller or wagon is highly recommended for young children, and arriving early helps make the most of popular spots like the giraffe exhibit. The zoo also offers a coffee and snack shop to recharge and a gift shop for souvenirs. Overall, the upgrades and diverse wildlife sightings make the experience worthwhile for both frequent visitors and those seeking a memorable day at the zoo.
