Growing up on the south side of Chicago spoiled me for good barbeque sauce. I have finally found a good one here in Phoenix at the new Southern Delights restaurant. I ordered the fried pork chops which came with the barbeque sauce and it was excellent. Speaking with McCowan's, they will be having ribs on the menu soon and I look forward going back for those as well. The portions are more than fair for the price and the sides (Mac and Cheese, Collard Greens, and Corn Bread)...
The food is absolutely delicious!!!! Customer service on point!!! I’m so happy that I can now get good quality soul food in Phoenix. This restaurant went over and beyond today. I can’t even begin to express my gratitude. Can’t wait to order again!!!
I couldn’t wait to get home to try. I ordered the Mac n cheese, candied yams with catfish, and my daughter had the chicken wing dings and Mac n cheese. Everything was on point and the portion sizes were big. The family was very welcoming and friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back.
