I was expecting the food to be great! After a two-hour wait, the food was not hot and was of very poor quality. It made me feel sick.

This is the ONLY authentic southern soul food in Phoenix that I have seen, because the midwest soul food that we mostly have in Phx is just not the same as Mississippi/Texas/Louisiana/ATL/FL food from the south, but this place is for real, the real deal!

The food wasn't good and the service was worse. There was one employee that made up for it.

I got the three chicken peace with sweet yam, and red beans and rice. The chicken was not seasoned, the yams. We're not too good. . The portion size was very small for the price. The plate was 18.50 was very disappointing.

Just ordered two catfish dinners and it was the saddest, most unseasoned fish I’ve ever had … customer service basura as well “IT’s in the bag” smh… will never eat here again …$50 for trash food…would’ve gave you 0 stars if that was an option

Idk what everyone else is talking about but the food here is actually good. BBQ sucks in AZ & so do a lot of the ppl so I feel like most of the negative reviews like from the Timothy’s are of the latter. Out of all the BBQ places out here, the greens are actually good and the portions are fine. Since when isn’t seasoned food salty? I’m sensitive to salt & I thought it was fine. I had it a few weeks ago & it was still really good. Ignore the Timothy’s and try it. lol - I don’t work for this place, have zero affiliation. Just a transplant that knows decent food.

I tried the chicken wings, and they were smoked and really good, My brother had the pork ribs, and he said his ribs were good. The collard greens and the mac & cheese were a waste of money. The greens were horrible, and the Mac and cheese were too salty and tasted like stove top. The baked beans were good. Don't do the cobbler cake, it taste like wet dough and peaches. If you can cook and know good food you won't like those dishes.

in the past i have had differing opinions about this place.
if the food was good, nothing else would matter.
-pulled pork was past its fresh date, tasted like its been in the fridge for a couple too many days.
-greens were inedibly salty, and i tried. (gave myself a pressure headache trying to finish them.
- price was too high for the lack of consistency in the quality.
-cornbread was...bla
+cabbage and ribs were yummy. so was the bbq sauce with the fried chicken
