To me, Testal is definitely one of the more underrated Mexican spots in the valley. I’ve stopped in for lunch or dinner several times and never had an experience that was less than excellent! Customer service is always spot-on and they’re happy to assist with the menu options while you order at the counter. Being Chihuahua-style instead of Sonoran means they have some different options than other places. So far the Colorado burrito is my favorite- savory, flavorful, warm, and comforting! Taco portions are large. Homemade salsas and tortillas are spot-on. Truly nothing to complain about!

Really good red chili burrito with delicious Agua de Pinole, friendly service!
We came here on a last minute recommendation, it is a smaller space with limited seating. As we walked in we saw this tortilla pocket that looked amazing. We knew right away this was a good idea. We asked about it and the friendly girl at the counter explained it is the Gordita, limited availability. We ordered one. It came out pretty quick and it was amazing. A little spicy but we were able to handle it. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of their menu.

Very bizarre experience this morning. I have been coming here for a few years now but haven't been here in a while. I grew up eating this kind of food as both of my parents are from Northern Mexico but I hadn't had this cuisine in years due to becoming vegan until I found this place. I never had any issues until today and it was due to the girl that was at the front counter. I placed an online order for pickup and when I arrived and went to the counter to ask for my order, the girl sounded irritated and said that she never received an online order. Mind you, I was the only customer in the restaurant. Then she asked me if I was sure I placed the order for this restaurant. I pulled out my phone to show her a snapshot of my order. Then she asked to hold my phone to write my order down on some paper, returned my phone, and without saying anything to me she walked away. I went to go sit down. After a few minutes she called me over to get my order. When I walked over, another customer came in. The girl pushed my bag over to me and then faced the other customer who was still deciding what to order. I checked in the bag and 2 items were missing. I told her this and without even asking me what items were missing, she made the other 2 items for me. Almost like she knew they were missing and was intentionally avoiding having to do anymore work. I know sometimes work can be frustrating when you're in a bad mood or stressed but don't take it out on the customer. I will not be back and that's unfortunate because judging by the emptiness of the place, they really need all the business they can get.
