Phoenix Native. First time visitor… new regular. The tacos stand alone as the best in Phoenix. The salsa…. One of a kind. Spicy. Refreshing…. Yum. And Sotol?! Never heard of it until my visit today. It’s like mezcal and tequila had a baby. I think it may be my new favorite liquor from Mexico. Looking forward to my next visit.
Very tasty "chihuahuan-style" burritos and a variety of bottled drinks. The burritos are cheap but smaller than what most people in AZ are used to - most people will want 2 to fill them up. Not an huge issue - more excuses to try different flavors. I'm deeply appreciative that most of their menu items have a vegan version - it's really nice being able to get a poblano pepper with vegan cheese and nicely seasoned soyrizo or ground beef substitutes. It's small, modest, affordable, super friendly, terrific burritos and margaritas! Very local, the bartender sings karaoke, and it's all warm and welcoming. Only thing I wouldn't get again is the guac. It's not expensive but it's also not fresh - more like an avocado cream. But I'd come back in a heartbeat - great place overall.
