I arrived at Texas Grill totally by accident. I got a flat tire on the 51 and pulled into the first parking lot I could get. While I was waiting for my tow truck I experienced the atmosphere and Excellence of Texas Grill Peter the bartender was warm and friendly. A waitress who was seamlessly serving to my surprise a lot of people I didn't catch her name but she was great! She interacted with me had a smile for everyone she met and controlled the atmosphere of the very busy...
Best prime rib I've had in a hot minute. It's smoked, and the smoke makes itself known, but isn't over powering. Aimee was great! And honestly, Shiner on tap is worth the drive.
One solid recommendation--CHICKEN FRIED STEAK... and as a fallback if you don't like red meat, get the two filet catfish dinner. They're both just delicious and abundant portion size. I went here with a group and then alone to get more chicken fried steak. Yum. Great food, service and I like the western/southwestern/Texan atmosphere very much. I don't live that close to this place but ITS WORTH THE DRIVE. I will likely when I want to surf and turf pig out go...
