We came to Farish seeing amazing reviews. A bit disappointed with the main dishes. The fish was too salty that I couldn't eat much of it. Beef stew and ribs were alright. Appetizers were nice but again bit salty.
In general, we found food salty compared the other restaurants.
Service was great. Staff was very friendly.
We may not come back.

Came on a Wednesday night for my first experience; inspired to try this restaurant after watching a review on AZ Check Please. It was an enjoyable experience. For starters I had their soup - Zucchini Soup (Creme de Courgette) $10 - that was creamy, and delicious. A very unique soup that was unlike anything else I’ve had. My entree was the Japanese sea scallops and risotto $27. The scallops (5) were tender, sweet, and delicious; with a risotto that was el dente. I toiled between ordering the duck confit and this dish, and had no regret. The only part of my meal that was slightly disappointing was the peach pie for dessert. The peaches were sliced to thin, and the dessert was more like a tart than a pie. The crust looked huge, but was really amazing… flaky and tender. Had the peaches been sliced thicker, there would have been more flavor. It was paired well with a scoop of vanilla ice cream ($12). Alone I had water and Sprite. My tab + tax came to $55+change. The restaurant is small, but has outdoor seating. Very comfortable, and relaxing; with plenty of art and history. Parking might be a challenge. There’s seating at the bar, but limited to six seats (if memory serves me well). And the bathrooms are clean; with limited occupancy. I’m told the menu changes with the seasons, or every three months. Check ahead to see what their menu is so that you’re not disappointed to find an appetizer or entree no longer being offered. I look forward to returning for the duck which should be on the next menu. Service was fine. Roberta was my server; and I had forgotten to ask who the manager/bartender/possible owner was. Very entertaining, witty, and fun. Thank you.
P.S. A recommendation for the peach tart. Pair it with blueberries. Try it, and make the crust ahead of time before filling it with the fruit. Experiment and see for yourself.
Parking: Parking is limited, and I’m told the business to the north when they close will offer three spaces to be used. Parking can be found on 3rd Ave (metered parking); and more parking behind to the west of the restaurant.

The mac has a such a smooth subtle complexity to it, and the aged cheese slightly sour. Not oversalted and oversaturated like most macs. Noodles were perfectly chewy.
Fingerling potatoes came in a generous portion, I loved the earthy nutty caramelized flavors of the duck fat. Subtle herb mix toppings brings it all together.
Tiramisu is delightfully boozy, sweet, and cheesy.
Pork belly melts in your mouth. Very sweet glaze due to the maple so cut it with the Brussels sprouts

For my mother's birthday celebration, we decided to dine at The Farish House, and it turned out to be an impeccable choice. Nestled in what feels like a charming nook of the city, this restaurant offers more than just a meal; it provides an experience. Thank you Emma for a lovely birthday for my mom!

Highly recommend the Farish House! We had amazing service and the food was high quality and delicious. The crostini, dates, burrata, and short rib were all *chef’s kiss.* the cocktails and wine options were also excellent. The setting is so cozy, whether on the patio or inside the historic home. We will be back!

I thought, here's a French restaurant. But they serve a traditional american home food.
Everything we had was tasty.
Very creamy Mac & cheese, Duck thigh with cranberry sauce ( like thanks giving meal), super tender Beef ribs.
All of waiters are very friendly. Service was quick and nice.
(Table was pretty small. It was a little tight.)

What an exquisite experience. The staff is amazingly friendly. The service was spot on. From great dining suggestions to the perfect amount of small talk, the environment is comforting and welcoming.
There wasn’t a dish that came to the table that wasn’t delicious. From the appetizers like the dates and the pate, to the braised short rib, scallops and the duck, we enjoyed everything. I highly recommend tapas style dining (if your party is willing to share their dishes) so you can try more items.
We finished with the peach pie and the tiramisu. Both excellent, but the pie took the cake. They managed to make the crust very crispy while still somehow melting in your mouth. Just amazing!
This is a must if you’re in Phoenix.

Emma and Dre make a great team. What a cute place! We both had the scallops, and they were delicious. The peach pie with vanilla ice cream was on point. Tequila old-fashioned was quite tasty too
