I've been wanting to try The Stand for a while, but my first visit was a bit disappointing. While the burgers were tasty (I had the Standard Burger and my fiancé had the Spicy Standard) the overall experience didn't justify the price.
The main issue is the drive-thru-only setup, which seems to cause a lot of chaos. Despite only a few cars in front of us, we waited about 40 minutes because other people kept cutting in line. The two burgers and a drink came out to around $30, which feels steep for a drive-thru, especially since the burger itself was poorly constructed. All my toppings except the lettuce and onions didnt make an appearance until half way thru the burger. While the staff was friendly, the frustrating wait time and high cost for a basic drive-thru experience are the main reasons for my low rating.
A walk up and/or a car hop option would make coming back more desirable. Overall its still a good burger. Oh, one last important note all burgers are double patties which may be a culprit of the high prices.

Tough to rate atmosphere since it is only a drive thru business. Great food. Great service!

Been a couple years since last visit, went back because it was listed as Best Burger in Phoenix on a couple of lists. I would say it's good but not the best. Fries were good but they were not fresh. Hamburger itself was good but not great, bun was same. Drive thru only.

Wasted 20 minutes in line. Finally, got up to the window and was going to pay with $100 bill. They told me they could not break the bill. There was no sign saying they can’t break $100. I would’ve went somewhere else so I could have saved gas and my time. I wasted my entire lunch break for, “the highest quality of service” but they can’t break a simple $100 bill. Never waited that long just to end up not getting my food.

Had a Standard Burger and Shake…best burger and shake I’ve had in a long time…really delicious.
This Place has maybe the BEST burger you can eat. I just had the Standard with Jalapeno sauce. It was a work of art in preperation and the taste was a 5*. And the sauce is *HOT*
Not inexpensive but well worth it.

I called to place a pick-up order and was told, they only take orders over $80. Can you believe they refused to take my $20 order? I was already on the phone. This level of service is why going through their drive-through takes 45 minutes

Drove 30mins due to them being on a list saying they had the best burgers only for them to be closed at 8pm on Sunday. Will NOT make the trip back!
Great burger but y’all need to open the inside of the restaurant back up. The wait is ridiculous to get a burger in your drive-through. Go stand out there and watch how many people leave the drive-thru line because of how long it’s taking and they decide to give up. How much business do you think you’re losing by not letting people walk inside your restaurant anymore. Covid is over. Reopen it.

In Phoenix for business, one colleague raved about the burgers. Psyched we piled into a car and drove there. A tiny building emblazoned with THE STAND graphic painted on its walls. It was lunch hour so we hoped to eat inside but realized (after walking around the building) it was strictly a Drive In establishment. The sign indicating this helped to. LOL. A cool staffer peaked through a wall opening to explain the change was due to the pandemic. Deflated but not defeated, we piled back into the car and lined up to order. A cordial staffer explained they could only process two credit card transactions - so one treated the exiled one to Double cheeseburger. Fries, and vanilla milkshake. The fries were hot, crispy, and perfectly salted. The cheeseburgers were hot, juicy and well seasoned. We quickly returned to the office but due to heavy workload I didn’t get to my cheeseburger until later that afternoon. A sign of a well made burger is how flavorful it can be cold. Like cold pizza when you are hungry, I devoured the cheeseburger. Highly recommended.
