I use to really enjoy this restaurant. I am GF and dairy free. They only have a few options for this. Yesterday we went for Valentines day lunch. The service was poor. We seated right away and ordered, but didn't hardly see our person assigned to our table after that. Had to ask for plates. Our food did not come to our table as ordered, and didn't have time to correct it and send it back. Had to go all day without eating as I couldn't eat it. I won't be going back here. I don't mind spending the money for great food and service, but didn't get either of these here.
This place since sold from Fox concepts has went down tremendously. Nate the manager is extremely rude, unprofessional and needs to find a new career.

Put squash pie back on the winter menu and I’ll change the rating to 5 stars. It was a poor decision to limit one of your most amazing delicacies.

Oftentimes restaurants that tout their healthy, organic, and/or wholesome menus fall short of delivering on taste. But that’s not the case with True Food Kitchen in the Biltmore Fashion Park of Phoenix. They’re firing on all cylinders!
I enjoyed a nicely balanced tuna poke bowl with a slight spicy kick. My wife’s wild mushroom and spinach sourdough pizza (which I helped her eat) was probably the best pizza we’ve had in years. The cook was ideal: a bit crunchy on the bottom with a soft and light top side. And the toppings made for a great combination.
The edamame dumpling appetizer was every bit as good as described in other reviews. And the flourless chocolate cake was a wonderful way to cap the meal.
The prices were quite reasonable and we were able to take advantage of a “two meals for $50” special,
This restaurant is highly recommended.

We had an early birthday dinner with 7 people. They gave us a private room. It was perfect! The server was great and food was delicious. I love that they change up the menu to give more unique options. I highly recommend eating here.
Overall, I was disappointed. I visit Phoenix every winter and have always looked forward to dining at True Food since they first opened.
This visit, however, felt noticeably different. The menu itself has undergone a physical change, it now looks and feels far more commercialized, which took away from the thoughtful, earth-to-table experience I had come to expect.
The service was unfortunately inconsistent. Our server was very kind, but forgetful. When we ordered a bottle of wine, the staff member sent to open it admitted that he had never done it before. After several minutes of attempting to guide him through it, I ultimately opened the bottle myself, which felt unprofessional from a service standpoint.
There was also a prolonged disturbance on the patio caused by an individual from the open-air mall who was visibly distressed and yelling at security. While this was in no way the restaurant’s fault, it was disappointing that during this time no staff came outside clear plates, top up water, etc. Instead, staff remained inside watching through the windows as the situation unfolded for nearly an hour.
While many menu items remain familiar, the quality did not feel the same. The butternut squash pizza, for example, was undercooked, with the squash still noticeably crunchy.
It’s genuinely disappointing to see a restaurant I once loved feel so changed.

Ate at the Scottsdale location the previous night and had a much, much better experience there. We ate inside at this location and they had the doors open to the patio for the convince of going in and out at the expense of everyone sitting inside being cold. Aside from ordering we saw our waitress once the entire meal and had to keep asking other staff for things like salt, sauce, and more water. The food definitely was not as good, abundant, or flavorful as the Scottsdale location. When all was said and done, I tipped only based on courtesy, not based on anyone earning it. I don't think I'll be back to this location again.

Wonderful fresh food, great service and easy access. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and was amazing. 10 out of 10 would go again

We have been customers of this True Food location for the past 10+ years and unfortunately will no longer be going back. The food quality and service have gone downhill.
I ordered the steak frites and they were out of fries at 6 pm. After waiting a long time for our food, the steak came well done when I ordered medium. After showing the server, she took the steak and I waited 30 minutes for a new one with no apology or updates. The rest of the party had finished eating and paid when I finally got my steak to go. On top of this, the waitress had an attitude.

It took about 20 minutes after being seated before we received any service, and we eventually had to get up and request it. That said, our waitress Amanda was very sweet and helpful once things got going.
I had the All-American burger and thought it was delicious. Unfortunately, we weren’t fans of the margarita pizza.
I would definitely go back again for the All-American burger, though!

My sister in law (SIL) and I had a delightful lunch at True Foods prior to shopping at The Biltmore. There were so many delicious options on the menu it was a challenge to decide. I ordered the Wild-Caught Tuna Poke Bowl and my SIL had the Chinese Chicken Salad...we ate every bite. Cannot wait to return to try other items on the menu.
If your looking for healthy great tasting food, you can’t go wrong with a Fox concepts restaurant. True Food is no exception Great Food, Great Service, and a whole vibe. Worth putting in your restaurant rotation.

I have never been disappointed by any meal I've ever ordered here. The menu is creative, the execution is top-notch and the service is great.

We were seated promptly. We were a group of 7 adults and were fortunate to have an intimate and private room with a door. Our waitress, Kat, was thoughtful and professional and knowledgeable about the food. One of our guests was Gluten Free and felt the offerings were perfect for her dietary needs.
When I arrived, I was greeted by two hostesses who were kind and courteous, which was a good first impression. I mentioned I would be dining alone, and one hostess showed me to my table. Before sitting down, I let her know I was going to use the restroom, and she mentioned that a server would be with me shortly.
I was gone for no more than two minutes. When I returned, I sat down and waited patiently, but no server ever came to check on me. What ultimately prompted me to get up was seeing the table next to me get seated and attended to multiple times (2–3 check-ins) while I remained completely ignored.
I then went back to the host stand to let them know. They did apologize, and I decided to go to the bar to order a green juice instead. The bartender was pleasant, but unfortunately the green juice itself was subpar—overly acidic and not enjoyable.
Overall, while the initial greeting was friendly, the lack of basic table service and follow-through significantly impacted the experience. Attention and consistency are fundamental in hospitality, and that was missing here.
