We were disappointed by the small entree portion of shrimp fried rice for $18. It had maybe 3 or 4 tiny shrimp and came in a tiny bowl.

Everyone in our party LOVED this place! Very unique atmosphere, delicious food and staff were helpful and friendly. Our server, Steph, was OUTSTANDING. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️She was knowledgeable and didn’t forget anything in our order. She helped us with special requests and she brought us an on-the-house cabbage salad. If I could give Umami 6 stars I would!! Service was fast!
I ordered a veggie roll and added cream cheese. My go-to at any sushi joint ??

I love this place! I come by once a week to have dinner at the bar. My usual is the delicious bulgogi tacos and a saké bomb. Jessie the bartender and all the servers are friendly and just plain cool.

Horrible experience. I got severe food poisoning from eating at Umami. I had the salmon and yellowtail Sashimi and the negitoro (tasted fishy). Bill came to $100. Awful experience!

Clean and neat looking interior. Welcoming staff which does look out for any servicing that might not go as expected and try to makeup for it. The bulgogi was under seasoned and came off as if it were cooked on an under heated pan.

Do not come here! We waited almost an hour for our food and still never received it. We ordered a few sushi rolls for to-go and the hostess told us it would take around 15 minutes. After a half hour of waiting, we asked about our order and the hostess told us the kitchen was "putting it together right now". We waited 15 more minutes and were told throughout that timespan the exact same thing: they were "putting it together right now". We noticed that all the sit-down tables were receiving their food while we didn't, so we asked to speak with a manager and a woman came out and had a very rude tone of voice while making a lot of hand gestures. She was reluctant to even offer us any sort of compensation for the amount of time that we waiting, and was instead making a lot of excuses about how the kitchen was backed up and that they were just starting on our order.

For clarification, they did not start on our order until 45 minutes after ordering. The female manager offered to give us two free items, but we instead asked her to comp something off our bill because we didn't know how long those two extra "compensation items" would take. The woman went back to the kitchen, and 10 minutes later, a male manager came out and said they were still "putting it together right now". We had finally decided after 55 total minutes of waiting that we had waited long enough, and we got a full refund but left hungry.

There was another couple of people waiting as well, and they had ordered food online to pick up at the restaurant. They said they received a confirmation online that their food was ready, but the staff was also telling them that they were "putting it together right now" despite the website saying their food was ready. They waited for 30 minutes alongside us, and they were still waiting when we left.

Although restaurants can get backed up and can be quite busy on the weekends, they should have given us a more accurate wait time, or even told us that they could not complete the order. However, they decided to keep lying about the progress of our order, which was completely unprofessional and misleading customer service. On top of that, the management was reluctant to even provide compensation for the extremely long wait times. I would not recommend coming here unless you like waiting an hour for food, maybe even longer, and still not receiving it.
