Bear & Dragon Cafe & Restaurant

Absolutely stunning location with every detail well thought out and items collected for many years in anticipation of their brick and mortar location. The food was excellent and reasonably priced for the high quality. Both my husband and I are cooks and I used to be a chef, so we have high standards and this place met them with ease. The service was excellent and the food recommendations from our server were spot on. Highly recommend this place. Also, not that busy and no wait on a summer Friday night.

Yummy breakfast options available til 11. The Hazelwood latte is awesome iced or hot! Beautiful patio to sit with fur babies always friendly staff especially to my doggo.

Wonderful lunch surrounded by books! So cozy 😊

Went here for the first time and loved the ambiance. The menu is like a book, which I thought was a fun touch. Unfortunately, there were a few service issues. They didn’t have regular drip coffee, so I ordered an Americano instead. When it arrived, it was cold and had to be remade. I also felt that I should have paid for drip coffee to make up for it. Then my food came out incorrectly. They did correct the order, and I enjoyed the meal once I received what I had ordered. Overall, I think the food and atmosphere are worth trying, but there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to service and handling mistakes.

Went for the Sunday tea. Idk if they were just too busy or our server was new but our towers were missing stuff. she only brought us one each of the clotted cream and jams for 12 scones, and two of our people that ordered the same tea she only brought them one pot. She said she'd bring another when we asked but then she never came back to our section. We also ran out of water very early on. Otherwise the food and tea was all fantastic.

I had bean n toast for the FIRST time and it was AMAZING!

Always enjoy going to Bear and Dragon. Owners Chris and Amanda make you feel welcomed. Wait staff is prompt and courteous. Food is fantastic. Would highly recommend. Try the fish and chips and Caesar salad!
