My mom loves this place, so we go. Service is less than stellar. Had to ask more than once for salsa refill. My order of the mole enchiladas were basically rolled up tortillas with mole on top - almost no filling at all. Wife's suiza enchiladas were the same - tortilla, sauce, almost zero meat. If it weren't for mom's love of the street corn, we would not go there.
I originally visited Barrio Queen when it was in the barrio, the original restaurant. It reminded me of eating homemade meals at by abuelitas in Mexico. But now they made changes and not for the better! The chips are awful now. Why’d they change the thick freshly made chips for those thin crappy ones? Very clean restaurant. Alot of seating inside and in the patio area. Reservations can be made for parties. Children welcome. The have a bar area with TV's. Not a long wait for food, which had vegan options.
